Should go a long ways to increase morale. I guess it was take now just in case you really did have to shutter the place, now that it passed...you'd be well advised to announce that you will not be earning a salary for Y14Q2.
 
We given them 15% of our earned money and they give themselves raises, how sick is that. I'm so fed up with this ****. We don't even have a union to back us up. Five years will come around fast and they can kiss my ass. Wether they go bully up or not, I don't give a ****.

So glad to see this.makes me feel better I wasn't fooled into voting yes. I think they deserve another round of bonuses.
 
When will the YES SHEEP ever learn ???? here we go again getting played as SHEEP , oh we are so broke vote yes , but OMG we got money for everything else but full pay for you drivers or to pay full into the pension fund !!!!! nothing like rubbing $$$$$ in our faces & laughing !!!!
 
Cmon some of you yes men on here...back em up, support the cause, ask for next concession vote to be next week not next year.
 
I can't believe anyone bought their story about being broke. For the last 40 years I know of every time a contract is up the company cries their broke and can't afford raises, no increases in h&w and no increases in the pension. First time you cave it's hard to stop. I hope people have learned something from this last fiasco, if the company was broke they wouldn't be paying outlandish bonuses or giving raises to management.

I can't believe there are still people who don't understand the financial situation they were in. They never claimed to be broke. They had operating capital. They did not have the many millions of dollars needed to pay off the bonds/loans which matured/came due. Do you even remotely understand the difference? After 30 years I would think you should.
 
Triplex you need to burn your union card !!! no need for YES VOTERS to have one !!!! and you notice they have paid Bonuses , but have not paid any thing the the DEBT balance !!! IF you have been around for other contract times , you would know they always say the same thing , we need money to pay DEBT down !!! At a time when ALL the information is available to anyone who cares to investigate, it is TRULY stunning that you spout your BS! Why don't YOU turn in your computer, because OBVIOUSLY you aren't capable of using it in a constructive manner. Quit complaining about conditions of which you clearly have NO comprehension.

Do you know how to read? Did my comment say anything about bonuses one way or the other? All I did was restate and try to clarify the financial situation the company was in when they asked for the MOU. Don't be such a jerk trying to twist what I said into some other nonsense..

Totally agree about the bonuses/raises for executives. However, it was well documented that the lack of funds to pay the bond/loan maturities coming due on certain dates was the reason for the shutdown/bankruptcy threats. It just amazes me that employees don't have better comprehension of the company issues when it's all out there to see.

That`s the think a lot of people don`t understand ,operating income. I got in an argument with a member of management who said " if the company had zero interest payments last year they would have made, 150 million dollars last year". The thing that he doesn't understand is the operating income was only 28 million . That 150 million used to pay the interest has to come from some where and it isn`t coming from operating income, there is a deficient of money.

Got to agree with 30yearman on the bonus issue, it is insane.
