YRC Worldwide Inc., which is in the midst of a plan to issue more common shares as part of a financial restructuring, says its stock is in danger of being delisted from the Nasdaq Stock Exchange if it goes through with the plan.

The Overland Park-based trucking company (Nasdaq: YRCW) said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it plans to ask for a waiver under a financial viability exception, but it may not get that waiver.....................

Lets see I think I know this story, ask for waiver, once denied, file appeal, right before appeal is denied and after issuing all the new shares, do a reverse split 100 shares for 1, set new 12 month high stock price of $3.50 and watch it drop from there, when it gets below a dollar repeat the above....................

Again???????? They just did the reverse split a few months back wasn't it? Does it really matter if the company is on the big board? It has not made any REAL PROFIT in about 4 years now. Everything has been begged, borrowed or STOLEN! YRCW is done. Nothing left to sell. Why buy the regionals when you can wiat for them to close and take the frieght for free-- and sadly to say ABF is next.

I believe being on the market gives them more money to operate on.(the only reason for a company to be on the market) Even if the stock is trading at a dollar just think of the millions of shares out on the market.

why do you guys at yrc always think that abf is going to fall into the same deep dark hole that your are in. We do not have the crappy mgt. that you do, and we are proud of that fact. Insted of wishing us bad luck, do as I did, tell yrc to kiss your ass, and get a job at abf.

I did, best move i have ever made....

No worries ......Yrc will have another 25:1 reverse split and it will be above 1 dollar again......They have this cash cow figured out....

because people have bought into the statement that if yrc fails so will abf because of pension costs. whether true or not don't honestly know but I don't buy it either..

I think ABF has been doing ok. Yes our next contract may be tough but we are not down the same greedy path as the leaders of YRC have taken alot of people.

ABF won't have to pay more to the pension fund if YRC fails. They are only obligated to pay their share when the contract went into effect as of 4/1/2008 to 3/31/2013. No more no less.

That's not the way it was explained to me. I was told that when a multi-pension company exits the group,(shuts down) the amount of money that the existing members pay in, DOES go up to help compensate for the lost membership. The info. came from a good source, but take it for what it's worth.

It does but not until the next contract negotiation, the liability however goes up immediately so if a fund goes under the surviving companies are on the hook.

ABF is not paying anymore now then they were before yrc stopped paying. So what would be the diffrence between suspended or shut down?

Personally, I can't even verify that ABF isn't paying in more now than they were before YRCW quit paying in. Wrench could be right also....their amount may not go up until after the next contract. Like I said earlier, I'm only going by what I have heard and what my source had told me a few month back. I had always been told that the remaining companies had to pick up the tab for those that had shut down. Remember when Zollars was on one of the networks talking about the "orphans"? He was blubbering about YRCW having to pick up the pension tab for the "orphans" that had never even worked for YRCW. That is exactly what he was talking about. (If YRCW were to shut down, it would be the same scenario for ABF picking up the tab for YRCW employees, which could buckle them financially.)

abf is bound by the contract to pay what we agreed to, however if yrcw goes down then its a sure thing they will want abf to pay more in the next contract. That does not mean they will if say they offer less in a final this is it offer and we as members vote it in.

Who really knows the truth between these two corporations?all you read is what they want you to think you know.as confusing as that last statement.everyone knows that the stock is being manipulated.my opinion.

Did't realize I was on an ABF thread. Sorry to I don't post on OTHER CO'S threads. This time I will. ABF pays the same for now but in 2013, when ABF is the sole Master FRT CO negotiating, they will be responsible for picking up the tab for Pension Liability. Instead of hoping for YRC to go under they should hope WE survive and one of the NON's fails. All Pensions will be screwed. I for one couldn't live or retire with 1/3 Pension once Gov't takes control. HOPEFULLY YRC someday(after 2015) finally show a profit and pay in. I don't see conway fed ex, estes,R+L having any future obligations or collateral posted to pay in!
