Last week was a "fun" week at 162, we were visited by loss prevention on Wednesday. Our outbound/city dispatcher was escorted off the property. Evidently his fingers were very sticky and it wasn't from eating BBQ!
The terminal manager left that day to go see his boss. The "story" we got is "he told them he was close enough to retirement that he was just going to retire now". Yeah i totally believe that.
Now 162 does not have a city dispatcher/outbound guy or a TM.
Though the city dispatcher was a nice guy, I had no beef with him.
The TM was no great loss by any way shape or form. This person was a low life. There is not 1 positive word i can say about him.
We have been told he was cooking the books to get his bonuses and not doing a lot of the things he was suppose to be doing. How this went unchecked and flew under the radar for years is beyond me.
The Assistant TM dosen't want the terminal and it hasn't been offered to him (he says). My opinion is this: if corp hasn't offered it to him they probably won't and they may ask him to leave after finding a new TM.
Some head guy out of Omaha came down to talk to us and do face time. "The new TM will make changes and have a firm understanding and embrace the Estes frame of mind and culture" OK thats all good with me as long as I'm talked to and treated like a human being, hell I'm good with that!
I have heard there is a woman that is based out of Omaha that has expressed wanting our terminal in the past, anybody give me some heads up about her?
