possible newbie

The fact is that ol' Stoney feels horrible about collecting that union check and premium benefits. I'll give him credit for at least taking action to correct his horrible behavior, then he can go to confession and life will be good.

I have my reasons.
I realize that you do, I meant no disrespect, just giving my opinion, some would say that I have given up good things for something else, but like you I had my reasons and it has always worked out.
As I said before I wish you nothing but success with Wal Mart, its been good to my wife for the past 28 years.

hello guys, need some advise here from people that are allready in the company, well i finally got a phone interview for next tuesday, not too worry about that, but need to know if you guys run during the holidays, vacation,i,ve applided for the hurricane ut DC ,IF I DO GET IN THIS WHAT I,LL B GIVING UP,11 YRS.WITH MY CURRENT LTL COMPANY, HOME ON WEEKENDS ,HOLIDAYS OFF WITH PAY,MY SHIFS STARTS MONDAY NIGHT,AND ENDS SAT MORNINGS ,,GOT A 450 MILE TURN WITH DOCK WORK,CURRENT SALARY ABOUT $75.000,WHEN WE ARE SLOW I GET THE OPTION TO RUN OR STAY HOME,GET 3 WEEKS VACATION A YEAR,AND ALSO WHAT,S THE ACTIVITY WORK THAT YOU GUYS DO TO MAKE THAT KIND OF MONEY?POINT IS I,M VERY VERY NERVOUS ABOUT JUMPING SHIP,BUT MY CURRENT COMPANY JUST WANNA HAMMER YOU ON ANYTHING YOU DO WRONG,ALSO WHATS YOUR CURRENT LENGHT OF HAUL,PLEASE ABY ADVISE WILL B GREATFULLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!P.S HAVENT GOTTEN A RAISE IN ABOUT 4 YRS
I worked for them briefly over a year ago. They are great people and treated me awsome. There were plenty of former LTL and Teamster drivers working there who like it. I didn't stay because I knew that I could never get use to being gone for 4-5 nights without seeing the house. Also I do not like sleeping in the truck, yes I am spoiled, but I like a hotel room or my home. If those things don't bother you it is an excellent place to work. They don't pressure you at all and still respect their drivers like most companies did years ago. It is very easy to make $1800-$2000 a week starting out, if you want to work your hours. If they all drove day cabs or returned to DC every night or two on a schedule I would have retired from there. Some times you come back to DC every trip and other times you didn't come back to home DC until your go home day. Good luck with your decision. In my opinion you have to decide how much you want to be gone from home and how you will like working most weekends and holidays until you can get one of the program schedules like 6/3 or another similar rotating schedule.

hey stoney wanna congrats on your new job,i know you'll do great i wish you the best of everything, myself i had pass on the opportunity for now, being that i still a teenage daughter in high school, and my plan was to move up to st george, but please keep me in informed on how things are working out after you get hire, ill b applying again sometime next year, the best to you n your family!!!!!

Turned down the job dumbass.
Sir Stonehead, I am so sorry to hear you turned down such an opportunity to better yourself and your family. And you would have been such an asset over there with all your skills and experience. After all you have never, ever damaged any freight in all your miles on the highway. Never dropped a box of light bulbs, never backed a forklift into a pallet, never poked a pallet ahead etc. With that resume they should have offered you extra for all you'd be bringing with you.

What the heck happened Stoney? I got the feeling you were ready to pull the trigger, was the offer not that good? I mean running out of Hurricane and all, like area and days out and such?

Working over Christmas was a deal breaker. Told me the new guys had a hard time getting home for Christmas. Got young ones at the house, I don't wanna miss their early Christmas's. No need to take the job if the house ain't on fire.

I'm sorry you're a petty man who attempted to high jack this thread with your hate. And you think I give the union a black eye?
