Estes | is everyone making plenty of money?

Doing ok here. Worked 5 days this week, made about 1300. I'm not complaining. I left Memphis Sunday night And went to Dallas. From there went up and down all over Texas. Easy running, decent money.

My miles seem to be slipping the last several weeks, but still making plenty. I tell both my wife and congressman the same thing. "It's a spending problem, not an income problem", but neither one listens.

We do well, too well really uncle Sam sticks it to us.

You got that ::shit:: right. We are the working middle class that makes an honest living. We pay taxes so the limp icks can sit at home an draw a check for nothing and pay 0 taxes. we are the ones uncle sam watches. Not the ones that has been putting the screws to this country for years. We hand over $200 - $500 a week and let us cheat them out of a $100 and see what happens. I can see why some folks flip out when it comes to those ******s

1994 + 1000 = $2,994 a week driving a truck?? ..... He forgot to say, "ya all can be doing it too! It's just corporate greed why we are not making $70,000 more."

I think I talked to him at the Wafflehouse last week.

I think he meant in 1994 he was making $1300 a week plus another $1000 a week nowadays driving for UPS Freight. I'm sure you Estes drivers make more than $1,400 a week.

Considering how slow its been lately that $1300 to $1400 figure isn't to far off for me. Not gettin rich but enough to keep the little woman off my A$$. Don't know if competition is slow too or if we're the ones admitting to it.

We are booming.. I don't know why or what the reason is... But we could use probably 5 road and 5 more city drivers....

That's good to hear its busy over there BrowntoYellow. Think our p+d and schedule guys are plenty busy too. Extraboard seems to be the problem here. If they got xtra freight they love us. No xtra loads and they don't even want to talk to ya. Linehaul is like being a roll of paper towels. I'll just hang here till you need me, then roll out whatever you need to clean up the leftovers.

Love the analogy. That's exactly what it feels like, too.
