Estes | P & D using 53' trailers

I do the same thing, I do depend on it heavily especially in new areas, but after a few times I don't type in destination but just use it for speed management and alternate routes.

I use the maps on my phone, but not the turn by turn. If you dont understand address numbering systems, hundred blocks, and directions, you shouldnt be a city driver.

JM,you still working in Newburgh???I spent the day there yesterday...

Damn I wish I knew you were there, No I'm back in Albany for last 2 weeks. But Newburgh is only 60 miles from my house I also have family there and my plan Friday after work was to go see them I could've caught up with ya.

Yea,I didnt leave till after midnight,so that wouldnt have been a problem, maybe next time.At least I got a straight shot back to Greensboro,so that made the late start bearable...

Welp, instead of P&D, Im gonna be a hub driver, running nights.

Anybody with experience in that area?

Get your sleep and remember what your wife and kids look like..LOL.. Naw, I couldn't do it to ya driva... Hub is a good gig.. You laying down somewhere or going back home? The lay-downs aren't bad, if you get to stay in the motel... But I think they are trying to cut out a lot of lay-downs, especially if they don't produce...

Because its not THEIR license...i just bring the **** back, anymore...dispatch will google map it and say "you've got plenty of room"....**** off...53's should not be used some of the times...they need to realize it....

Should be home daily, since it's only from Paducah, KY to Nashville,TN and back. So I'll prolly be doing a lot of dock work.

As long as you don't have 14 trucks to take to the shop(like I had), it should be a good gig for ya... Probably no more than 3 or 4 hours a night on the dock... Helps break up the boredom and you can take your lunch break there and not have to stop on the way back....

Sounds good.

So a Hub driver is a utility driver/linehaul mix then?
