FedEx Freight | June Raise?

He needs to go back to flipping burgers. Some people just aren't meant to drive a truck. 26 points in 5 months? Crazy.

No Sir. With the retroactive he is at 26 in five years. That's my biggest problem with this implementation of scorecards. Why go back five years?

So he's dinged by events before employment here? That's a very tough pill to swallow.....best guess is the 5 years is used to establish "Patterns of behavior".
 
We will not get a check for back pay from June to October they are giving it to us broke apart through all of next year which leads me to believe our raises in 2015 will be pretty small to nonexistent

My understanding is that we get the raise in October, no retroactive pay, but raise is supposed to be adjusted up to compensate for the delay.

We don't get back pay. What they are doing is adding roughly 25% to the raise for 1 year to "make up" for the 4 month delay in the raise. So next October when raise time comes around, the lose the 25% then we find out what increase we will get. In my opinion they will just call the 25% our raise for next year. If I remember the email correctly, the example was this. Let's say you are getting a .25 per hour raise. Since we are being delayed 4 months or 25% of the year, they will add 25% of the raise for 1 year. So 25% of .25 is roughly .06. So our raise would be .31 for 1 year and drop back down to .25 before the next annual adjustment is added. I highly doubt we will see .25.
So realistically if we get a .10 raise it will turn into .12 for the year.

BOOM:1904: I need duct tape to keep my head from exploding....as for the score card system...when it's snow and ice and they say you MUST attempt to run....and you say HELL NO it's not safe....do you get fired for refuseing work?? or do you pull out the gate slide across the drive and hit a pole and get points for DWHUA....( driving with head up *** ):smilie93C_peelout:....I'm sooooo confused. Safety? Commonsense which do we choose...I have it RO !!!! that'll be an occurance...:Rulz::rolleyes::wtflol:Choices always choices...choose wrong your done...try to be the best you can be...and bam your score card says...your done..Best advise I have is go to work...do what you've been doing for how many ever years you've been trucking...( 24 ) and hope for the best.
 
:TR10driving03: Seems to me they did this when they bought American Freightways. We were suppose to get part of the raise in January and then the rest in June supposedly to coincide with Express getting their raise. I had an Express driver told me that was a bunch of bunk that they didn't necessarily get their raises in June. June rolled around and we were told that FedEx Freight hadn't made enough money so we weren't getting the rest of our raise. What a joke! I think we got .25 and half a penny for mileage. American Freightways always gave us at least .50 to .65 raises and they were a lot smaller than FedEx so that didn't set right with a lot of people. Some people talked like that was a great raise. I guess when Uncle Fred got his $6 million dollar bonus that year they thought other wise. Still being sneaky after all these years.
 
I heard U.S. Express is getting the biggest raise in the history of the company. Extra 5 cents per mile when hauling FedUp Freight. They also get a new pair of dirty sweatpants for every 100,000 miles accident free. Sign me up.
 
I find it funny our raise got pushed back to October. Oh wait no I'm not! They announced better earnings than expected for fourth quarter and that gives them 3 months of interest to give stock holders!!

That gives them 3 months to come up with a reason they cant give anyone raises!!!

I like your line of thinking, however, RC is more of the opinion that the pay raise was deferred to give Harrison a chance to post better numbers to meet their promise to Fred of better numbers.
We did indeed have better numbers and there is great rejoicing in Harrison.
However, those numbers do not impress RC as those numbers would have been insufficient to trigger a profit sharing check.

Hopefully they'll get it right someday.

RC I just left the center and I ask SCM if we're get profit sharing check and said yes size not know.
