FedEx Freight | Well...Might as well call us conway now with the new trucks FedEx bought!

Are these new trucks coming equipped with cameras to watch the driver like Conway has?

I was told by another driver that they will be front facing cameras. If you have the cruise set and for whatever reason the truck brakes really hard for you to avoid hitting another vehicle , etc, it will then trigger the camera to start recording. Or if you swerve really hard. They just want to see what happens if an incident occurs. I don't think they'd want to watch us pick our nose anyways.

Triggering the camera after hitting the brakes is kind of like locking up the booze after the kids have been home by themselves for the weekend.

You are certain of this? Indentured servitude? You, by your own admission have never paid one penny of dues or worked even one second at a union job, yet you speak on this in an authoritarian manner?
Where does this knowledge come from?

RC, this may come as a surprise to you, I have friends at every major company, even the union ones. In fact, will be having dinner with the shop steward from the local Sysco barn this weekend. He promises to tell me about what's happened with the several FxF drivers who've quit this terrible job for a cush union job over there. Rude awakening for them. They used to leave our barn with 10,000# of palletized ltl to deliver, now they run around and deliver 30,000# or more of groceries and cry nonstop. Wait for it...they cried about ltl, now they're really crying about having to work. Imagine that. GT, personal note here, you guys work way too hard over there....

I don't know what you fools are talking about.CW has very few automatics. So smack a blue sticker across something else, and get your facts straight next time before posting please.

I think the 680 looks purdy. I've never driven one, though so I cannot comment on anything else. Exterior wise, I like the look. I see at least one every morning pulling triples east, and i like the look. :)

I don't care for the T680 rides and handles rough. As for its looks it looks like the aliens at the beginning and end of the movie "The 5th Element". Ya know the big slow waddlin ones.
