A Texas scam was fired last week after he dropped a forklift wheel off the dock. three days later got is job back at the review board. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to an hourly employee? In every other case i heard of the termination was upheld.

Should not be a termination offence anyways, but no.

That is considered catastrophic at our barn termination

Well, it is not considered catastrophic anymore. They just moved the goal post. They can't move it back. One call to HR and they would not feel too comfortable about the double standard.

That's my guess, anyway.

I'm sure we'll be getting a revised scorecard for accidents (preventable crashes) which reflects the new definition of taking a forklift wheel off the ground -- that is, we won't be getting fired for that anymore.

We had an fos towing a forklift with another forklift without anyone steering and the unmanned motor went off the dock completely. he is still an fos and nothing happened to him. guess it depends on who you are. it's all b/s anyway.

The rules are only for people that don't matter, like drivers at a trucking company LOL.

You must be apart of the inner circle. An fos/fom would probably write you up for an unsafe act, and the brown nosing safety committee would can your butt in a heartbeat
