Sorry pal but you have deductions for that 401k and cutrate insurance. You take home less. And in this area OD is a small potatoes cartage company not anywhere near a #1 anything

Still would net more at yrc after the 15%. No cameras in your truck. No management telling you when to shift and questioning your fuel mileage. Compensated for all time at work. No economic terminations. Sorry pal.

Wow, somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming or else I'm in some parallel universe. yrc-atm is actually defending YRCF? :biglaugh: :hysterical: :LMAO:

Companies are lowering their standards to OD's levels. Yrc happens to be leading the way to get down there.

He will take a step backwards anywhere he goes as far as starting wages, health insurance. Pension? I know, it is what it is. YRCF is very aware of their average workers age. They know most can ***** about it, but will have a hard time bettering themselves. But if you can have peace of mind, and enjoy a different work atmosphere and able to handle lower wages for 2 or 3 years, then by all means. do it.

That's where your wrong sir. I actually took a huge step forward in pay, the insurance is good, matching 401k and I have great home time. That's part of the problem James Welch said nobody pays what YRC pays and most people that have not had to look for a job in years just believed the LIE. Every job offer I have had since I started looking pays more with a matching 401k.

Why would he take a step backwards?

How is he taking a step back by coming to odfl? This is a step forward No more 15% out your paycheck No more beat up tractors. Come on Bro OD is 10x Better then yellow will ever be….:LMAO:

BTW YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THAT NAME YRC-ATM BECAUSE YELLOW RUNNING OUT OF FUNDS :busted:

You should probably get your facts straight before putting your mouth in gear, you kind of a pretrip for your brain

:shift:……..
#'S DONT LIE JUST THE SCORE BOARDS .I'LL KEEP TRUCKING FOR A CARRIER THAT SEEING RECORD BREAKING NUMBERS…

Well since we seem to be all tooting our horns here about this and that? Why doesn't ODFL pay OT after 40 ever driver I talk to really cant give me an answer? All they say is OT after 60hrs? Really this puts puts more money in the owners pocket shorting U in the long run!!! No thank you have a nice day:kicking:

After 12 years as a team road driver with this company I have had enough of the lies and the bs. I turned in my resignation letter along with my uniforms, keys, and comdata card. I pray that YRC makes it for all the employees that want to stay and keep giving up 15% of their paycheck and 75% of their retirement. My wife and I have prayed and talked about me leaving YRC and moving on and we finally agreed that now its time for me to go. The Dallas yard looks like a Schneider and CRST drop yard and company drivers are sitting at home not working. The top brass and board members keep cashing in on big bonuses yet they won't even offer a matching 401k to the employees that are interested in contributing to it. I'm in my mid 30's and I don't want to work forever. God Bless everyone and once again if I have said anything that has offended anyone I apologize in advance.

I f U look hard enough as mentioned b4 there is life after YRC etc. It amazes me how much extra capacity there is in this industry that they must leach off of our shortage to move loads through the system! These outfits are definitely bottom feeders and it shows that I guess they cannot find there own freight to haul and if they closed would anyone miss these T/L bottomfedders?

Sounds like they hired a good one in you trying to kick people while they're down
OD is definitely a better managed company but not a better job.I know two good
people that got laid off and instead of calling them back to work they hired new
workers. It was policy at the time (and maybe now) not to rehire laid off employees.
Other drivers are forced 60 hours per week, every week when needed and when freight
is slow force you to work 4 days per week.
Your 401k match doesn't compare with the free insurance and the bs pension contributions
we have.Your work rules don't compare to ours and quite frankly I'm glad we don't have to
wear green pants. If it were not for union lines none of the non union lines would be making
what they do and you better hope they survive because if the market is ever flooded with
drivers you will get a royal screwing from your beloved company without the threat of a union.

Why do you feel a need to troll on the YRCF Forum?

It looks like he actually just tried to steer a disgruntled YRCW guy that is quitting to a decent job. Then the insults started, back and forth. Got out of hand....

Not sure, but I expect the company I work for is hiring in Dallas (original poster mentioned there). I know I'm happier where I work now....

Fact here is.YRCW still dominates much of the ltl market.Much more than ODFL.I know how the non union work.Been there done that. Not all is rosey at odfl that meets the eye.Hey...aint nothing perfect

I guess you could always do what I did. Quit YRC, go to school and work on an oil rig part time. Got a $2700 paycheck for two weeks. I can work a ton this summer.

I always get a kick out the scenario that replays eternally:

YRC guy says his company is crap. Non-U guy says come here. NonU is portrayed as His Mother wears Army Boots, His Dad's the Town Drunk, His Sister is a skank, His Brother pees his pants, His Dog has mixed puppies with fleas. Then he's asked 'why not sign aa Pledge Card and we'll be Brothers????? The same guys that were skunks at Overnite suddenly were Fantastic Brothers in Arms as UPSF????? Never ceases to amaze me....

Best of luck. I wish I had the nerve to go. I've actually gotten sick at times thinking about what we've been thru and where we're going. I'll pray for you.
