I don't recall ever saying we should all have an equal hourly rate. I feel it should be somewhat closer, but not the same. I do fervently feel that the ot policy should be equal all around, whether after 8, 40, 50, or none at all.

Our dock worker (only one would show up for the job ) went from $12.70 to $12.95.
 
The way I see it, been doing the job for what we are making allready. But was happy they were doing something positive, found out today we found the short end of the stick. Think that they are going to see all their numbers go into the trash or loose many drivers.

Should we be happy we even got a raise? Sure and here's some blue coolaide for ya! Im in the south and im tired of getting sh#% on. 2% raise? Ha! I'll be at $22.98 and like .54 cents a mile. Still well under the rest of the local LTL carriers except Benton Bros. Im selling my house next spring and moving back north. I'll get a big raise, over time after 8 hours and over time after 40 instead of 50. Its a no brainer for me. Screw seniority.

To me it was never about the overtime and being able to survive. It was about the respect the company has for my time. Why is my time after 8 hours worth less to the company than yours? I have the same issue with my current employer except the policy is the same for all of us nationwide, not a select few.

I agree. If this was an attempt to retain drivers, they may have failed. I think they may have actually pushed quite a few.

We will see in 6 months. If everyone stays. They will call it a success. If they can even get retention to improve 3% they will brag about it.

Absolutely. The ot was NEVER an issue to me when we were 3 seperate companies. Only when we became one did I feel all should be treated equally in regards to ot pay. It is respect, they ask you to go up and beyond, they should take care of you for it.

Sad to say but think most of the sheeple will remain in the pasture with the wolves looking down licking their chops......
 
6 months away from top scale just to be told I'll never get to top scale, WHAT A JOKE!! Are all con ways the same, 2 different top scales?? UnFKNGbelievable!!!!!
