Because I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.
your right, unless they paying you to relocate. then heck no.
Because I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.
Because I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.
Move to Dallas..you could work 20 hours of OT a week here, if you wanted...and we make what central makes now. Then fake your logs and work on the weekend too...Because I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.
As I said you can't understand the plight of others, only the one of your own. And that's ok......I'm good with that. Then stop your damn and have a . Or go some
I don't recall ever saying we should all have an equal hourly rate. I feel it should be somewhat closer, but not the same. I do fervently feel that the ot policy should be equal all around, whether after 8, 40, 50, or none at all.Move to Dallas..you could work 20 hours of OT a week here, if you wanted...and we make what central makes now. Then fake your logs and work on the weekend too...
J/k yeah...everybody should get the same raise.
No wonder people are quiting in memphis. we got .03 mile and went to 24.71. holy cow. ya should've got the same thing.
Just wonder what the dock hands make and what kind of raise they got.
Our dock worker (only one would show up for the job ) went from $12.70 to $12.95.They told us today our part time dock workers start at $14 and top out at either $16 or $16.50.. I'm positive it was either $16 0r $16.50 just can't remember which one it was.
Because I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO.
Still about $4 bucks an hour short of O.D.They told us today our part time dock workers start at $14 and top out at either $16 or $16.50.. I'm positive it was either $16 0r $16.50 just can't remember which one it was.
Same quote goes for me? Well this goes for u. Life is about choices. U chose to live in the area in which u now live at. If u need a big raise or a lot of overtime to make a living them u also made a choice to live a life u can't afford. As for me, if I were to work only 40 hrs a week I would be ok because I chose to buy a car that u could afford. If I lived off of overtime i could have easily drugged myself with a $50,000 SUV or something. I could have also had a dozen kids but I only had what we knew was affordable being that I would not use government to help me for crap. So yeah. You continue to cry your little heart out on how con-way is not fair but when u loose a limb for god forbid a family member or something that is dearest to you then u will be like wow. I guess there is other things to complain about then a few cents.
because i shouldn't have to.
The way I see it, been doing the job for what we are making allready. But was happy they were doing something positive, found out today we found the short end of the stick. Think that they are going to see all their numbers go into the trash or loose many drivers.
Absolutely. The ot was NEVER an issue to me when we were 3 seperate companies. Only when we became one did I feel all should be treated equally in regards to ot pay. It is respect, they ask you to go up and beyond, they should take care of you for it.To me it was never about the overtime and being able to survive. It was about the respect the company has for my time. Why is my time after 8 hours worth less to the company than yours? I have the same issue with my current employer except the policy is the same for all of us nationwide, not a select few.
Sad to say but think most of the sheeple will remain in the pasture with the wolves looking down licking their chops......I agree. If this was an attempt to retain drivers, they may have failed. I think they may have actually pushed quite a few.
We will see in 6 months. If everyone stays. They will call it a success. If they can even get retention to improve 3% they will brag about it.
