and how is this COO going to improve YRC and the Teamsters? Looks to only improve CRSt Schneider Transportation and Covenant. The proliferation of purchase transportation services will only side line the very people who helped give YRC a chance to operate a little longer. The Teamster Members.

?????? ok it is my understanding it has been the company could rail 26 percent of its freight by rail way before give backs correct

so know they rail 20 percent and 6 percent PTS = 26 percent no change it still the same as before give backs same percentage .....................KK help me out here I think your wrong here we didn't give work away we just changed how it was done unless my numbers are wrong I don't have the papers for the PTS to look it up from that language

KK POSTED >>>>>>> PTS is, and will contiune to be the thorn in the Road Drivers' asses....the other companies should NEVER had been allowed to vote on giving 6% of OUR work away!

I tried to get members to see down the road, but they were duped by the IBT in the 2nd vote, plain and simple....NOW we will see many more terminals being reclassified as DC to implement even more PTS. They were paid MILLIONS in stock bonuses, while you were given less than $500 of a $750 bonus.

We will NEVER recoupe the wages again and regain what we have lost.

Even if you don't agree with me, I am still here for you in my smal

Exactly! Are there 13 road drivers whom are willing to move/commute 250+ miles from Dallas to Houston?
The road driver who refuses to move (based upon the threat of either lay-off or waiting for a call) will give yrcf the opportunity to utilize more PTS.

Also, my 2 cents on the "26%" rail issue.
Only because I personally run rail a few times a week to the Los Angeles and San Bernardino railyards.
What Teamster, whether it be a President, Frt. Director, Business Agent, Steward, Organizer, ETC, has monitored the exact percentage of rail used in the USA in the past 10 years?

ANYONE???

An old timer who retired about 10 years ago told me "They're trying to get rid of the road drivers"! He constantly criticized the union for not monitoring the sign in and out sheets at the rail yards in Chicago and Lancaster. The IBT has never enforced it, the Locals look the other way, and the stewards just give up. Now not only do road drivers have to worry about "intermodal", they have to worry about "purchased transportation" too! Who's holding the company accountable on intermodal and PTS? Oh yeah, I know! The IBT is monitoring the situation!

All I know is, when the first offer was put before us. There were alot of yes voter's before they even
finished reading the memo. A few old timers at my barn touting they need the insurance. So a yes
vote was inevitable on the 2cd offer.

In my short tenure with Yellow/YRCF. To alot of folks either it be management, drivers and dock
it's a easy paycheck. Alot our own Ibt members don't go to the general meetings and won't
put up a fight if need be and first to complain. For this reason it's going to be a tough 5years
to deal with every negitive move that YRCW makes.

Pretty good, they were so scared they got themselves sold to

How is Nashville a loser by reducing freight to other points. Now if they said it was going somewhere else it would make since. Am I not reading this right or are they saying they just reduce freight. It is not going anywhere.

It's not going anywhere.Just trying to right the wrong from last year's coo.The movement of drivers and dock workers from Irving to Houston doesn't make any sense either.511irving is already shorthanded driver wise. This movement will only compound the problems.More drivers and equipment are needed everywhere.PTS can't keep up with it all.And without violating our copy of the last MOU

Moving drivers back to Houston from Dallas does make sense since for the ones who had to leave with the change a few years back. I know for a fact that freight is sitting for days on the dock here in Houston. Starting out with 13 is small steps to bringing Houston back to where it was before they made it an EOL. Things will never be the way it use to be so we will have to find a new way of dealing with it all. In the end I'm thankful for what we do have, it all could be a lot worse!!
