It all depends on what is negotiated. Everyone seems to think that because you go union you will have to have the contract that ups has. Or yrc has. Or abf. Everyone seems to think that going union means you will be in the teamster pension plans. You can have your own contract, with your own work rules, with your own retirement plan. Its all what is negotiated.

Then there is no promise of getting better then what we have

There is a promise of having written set work rules that both company and employees have to adhere to. When the company and union go to negotiate rank and file will be sent a survey of what is most important to you.

From reading on the teamster and other sites there is a problem with getting union started in FedEx.
RLA prevents union from organized terminal by terminal must be done nation wide is this true?

I'm sure we could dig it up again, but we did find on FedEx letterhead stating that while Express was covered by the RLA, Freight is not.

I come from vitran how can this be bad I did this for 17.00 hr and pay 111.00 a month for insurance .coming from a bottom feeder company this looks alright

Anyone know what UPS Freight pays for health insurance?

Per their contract http://teamster.org/sites/teamster.org/files/1614upsfta1414ver3.pdf

PAGE 19

(c) Employees covered by CSH&W shall be obligated to pay the following monthly
amounts as a premium for the coverage:
Single------------------ $45.00
E/ee Plus-------------- $90.00
E/ee & Family------- $135.00

Keep in mind this is coverage like we used to have... 80/20 with a reasonable ($500) deductible, NOT the $2500 deduct we have now.

Fedex Freight isn't under RAIL ROAD LABOR ACT. Call the teamsters local union hall and they will verify

What's the difference how about knowing what ull make in 5 years....

FedEx wants to run this company like express. They ruined that company they have had even more take backs then us.

Just understand we can't bargain for cost of living. .80 to a 1.25 is cost of living not .50 cents that doesn't cover inflation.

Were falling behind in 5 years most fedex terminals will be at 8 dollars or .9 cents per mile less the upsf... Big deal wake up

We have become the swift of LTL !!!!

You got that right.
And why they feel the need to hire new drivers that still need to drive with their training wheels on, like if they were still driving for Swift???

No excuses.:LMAO:

:shift:
