Anybody up to discussing the hourly bonus that was announced yesterday? About 1% of last fiscal year's earnings. First time in a long while that we are seeing a bonus that was anything but symbolic ...

I say thumbs up, the Company performed pretty well and we are sharing the results. Of course I hope we are doing even better this year and it will show in our bonus for the current year.
 
When they start giving me 4 to 5% of my income as a monthly bonus again, I'll get excited.
Until then, Hohumm pretty much says it all.

No more BONE US! I cant take anymore of the the purple pecker promise, that's why I'm for the union. Oh my bad you guys are talking about a money bonus, sorry go ahead.
 
If this is true. Are you really gonna fall for their small bonus after all the union talk. Its the calm before the biggest storm of all!! Ugh!!! 20 yrs down the drain! Time to move on! Good luck all...

No mention at my center either... That would be decent news... Would have been bigger if the company hadn't decided to spend millions on that big stock buyback. That was in fact the intent (manipulation of the bonus program), which we discussed here when the buyback was announced. I'll be happily surprised if even the 1% is true. Standing by...

Good thinking, I was wondering the same about the impact of the buyback program. But the truth is that the hourly incentive program is purely based on FedExFreight OR and a bit on FDX operating income growth, both of which are not impacted by the buyback. Ask your SCM about it tomorrow ...

What's an SCM?(sarcasm) I've been here 8 months now and have never met mine. I know who he is, but have never spoken a word to the guy. How's that for communication?
 
Bonus schmonus.

. Why is everyone satisfied to take a bonus, but ignore the fact that we need at least a $2hr raise JUST TO CATCH UP TO MEDIOCRE CARRIERS PAYSCALE?

Honestly, lets say its some amount that would NEVER happen. Say, $750 per driver.
In the grand scheme of things, whats that? Nothing.
What am I gonna do with a bonus? Pay A (single, one) bill?
 
this isn't a bonus it's the money you should have got in June for your raise over the next 4 month's! Its a way to give you compensation to vote no on union without saying it cause that's illegal!

Oky Doky Homes - I see that the fact that you have no clue what you are talking about does not interfere with your desire to contribute ... So here are a couple of factoids for you:

This is a bonus, been on the books since the beginning of the fiscal year, with very clearly defined triggers (like an OR of 95 or better)

Nothing to do with U/Non-U

The increase was delayed from June to October and you will be fully made whole with a prorate

Nothing to see here but conspiracy crap, homes
 
BONASSS , What BS ! hey sure why not take it its just giving you back some of your money that you're putting out for your benefits. What propaganda, they want from 5 years to three years on the scorecard, and now we're all of a sudden getting a bonus lol what's next a cookout cheap work gloves.
