1000000% Agree with you....let's see what happen i still think we might get a 75 cent raise no over time and benny increase

No way we would get OT. That would kill the profits every quarter because we are are working around 50-60 hours a week. So that would mean 10-20 hours a week at time and a half ! No way they pay that. I would be happy with the cost of insurance going down .

I don't want to cause a runaway on the OT, it should maybe be its own topic. But, personally if over time ever comes about I'd like to see it for the dock and mechanics. They are the ones doing labor, contained in one place, doing the manotinous work. Not that I don't think you city drivers arn't our best resourc creating our job security. As drivers we are compensated fair and we all knew the amount of hours in the begining. If they were to ever give overtime they'd probably hire more to cut some of the potential over time, which is another can of warms. Looking forward to what we hear next week.

You guys realize this company is keeping almost 20% of the revenue it takes in, right? Paying us overtime wouldn't break the bank I'm sure.

It would be silly to hire more drivers to keep us all at 40. The added cost in insurance would be more than paying us the overtime.

lets see what happen next week after the meeting!!!!! what would make you all happy?????/ i wouldn't mine OT after 45 hours/week

There's a time coming where it'll be even more tougher to obtain experienced help. No one with a brain wants to drive a truck anymore and those that do want to drive are usually doing it because a welfare office or state put them into a 4 week class. OT will be on the horizon eventually if we want to remain on the top. Cheap 4 week wonders only damage our equipment and destroy clutches ranking up huge repair bills.

We are hiring people with little to no experience at my barn, it will bite them in the :moon2:
