Until such time the "Morman Mafia Don" is no longer in control of the largest TL company in the country nothing will change. What you will see happen is more empty promises from Swift as well as the other usual suspects in the TL slave labor market, all in an attempt to lure like fish, those hard working individuals desperate for a job.
If Swift would redirect those funds they use in defending the never ending string of class action lawsuits, to driver pay and benefit improvements, they wouldn't be in this spot. At the same time we are talking about the original bottom of the barrel, bottom feeder that those good companies, both TL and LTL, have been forced to compete with since deregulation.
Trucking isn't for everyone but the use and abuse of drivers in TL by the slave masters from or originally from Salt Lake City, has to stop sometime. The revolving door, at 97% turnover worked for this scumbag company for a long time.
