Speculation as to why several brand new Estes trailers have been leased to CT and are being loaded for Western destinations.

1. CT has a consignee out West that banned CT trailers because they are junk.
2. Estes is taking over an account or joint venture with CT.
3. CT doesn't have the drivers that can deliver the freight out West.

Are you doing the same thing we are doing here at FedEx? We are loading new Estes trailers and railing them to whatever part of the country they are supposed to be going to. We move our freight without renting a rail container and they get their trailers delivered to them. win win

Let me add that once Estes takes possession of their trailers they better send them through the wash bay a few hundred times to get the stink off......They got to close to the skunk and got sprayed.

Estes is privately held like CT( I think)............The only difference is Estes knows how to run a trucking company.......The only thing CT can do is run a trucking company into the ground and be the poster child of how to not do things....No one in there right mind would purchase that hell hole.

6. I heard Estes bought CT, and the bridge.
 
Now that's a good one.......LOL......That bridge is basically a monopoly .....That would be a good buy....But the trucking company would be worthless except to the metal scrap business.

As soon as the new International bridge is built just a few miles South of Mattys bridge, his bridge will be worthless. I was on it a few months back and there a lot of places on the Ambassador Bridge that are rotting away and Matty is not fixing it. I would think that Matty is more real estate rich than trucking company rich.

I didn't know that bridge was approved.....I thought he was fighting that .....Not being from the Detroit area I'm not that well informed.....I'm glad to know that part of his empire is crumbling......Just like that Train station.
 
What's the status of the new International bridge in Detroit? Has it won all the legal challenges from Matty? My understanding is it was approved by the government but still faced an uphill battle.....If it does win all legal challenges what would be a projected completion date?
 
that's why he bought the dump of a terminal he did, the new bridge was going to pass right over the terminal, until he stopped that. now its just going over a small corner of the property.
 
the old man will be dead by then, if i was his son i would sell the det term to the state so i could make maximum money from that property. then i would sell that embarrasement of an ltl company C.T. along with the other trucking companies. focus on the real estate and the bridge while taking alot of. acations and enjoy life rather than spending every last minute screwing everyone out of their last penny like his father made his life out of doing.
 
If Estes knows how to run a trucking company, then why our they working sevens days a week to move five days worth of freight.
 
Estes knows how to do things the cheap and shady way, they are not that much different from CT, after I spent almost 13 years of my life there I finally got out......and happy I did........They used to know how to run a company and make the drivers money, Well they screwed that one up awhile back.
