Central Transport | New Estes Trailers leased to CT

Well after talking to a estes driver at the days inn in Irving tx one day I laid over there, I do believe Estes to be a "wacky'" outfit just like the rest of them out here. He was an Atlanta driver, that was taking a empty van to Memphis. Lol that sounds like what we do at upsf, hell one night I went from Gaffney S.C to Greensville S.C with a full van then took 2 Empty pups to Richmond Va. I bet i followed 4 full contractors pulling our freight up to Richmond that night. Silly rabbit. Hows the new gig train?? I would post something crazy and dumb, from my time at vitran, but we all know I would be telling a white lie lol

Get this, just last Friday CT has updated their system with the handhelds. Now after you have punched in for the day and delivered your 1st trailer to wherever, you come back to the term. hook to your peddle. Then return after your route is done to strip your trlr., now thinking you are done for the day and are going to punch out. The handheld calculates to see what your available hours that may be available for you to work, then assigns you to another trailer to unload or trailer to deliver. Nothing like getting every available minute out a guy. Now more people going home early. Bahahahahaha more drivers need move to greener pastures.

God forbid if you might want to do any thing else besides work for that "person" and sleep, like spend time with your family (I'm sure he does) or some form of recreation like fishing or hunting

If they put all their effort into providing a service to the customers like they do screwing the work force, they might get that company out of the toilet.

May or may not be pertinent to this thread, but I've seen alot of brand new trailers in a large lot down on E. Hanna ave. in Indianapolis down by Harding st. that say " Estes Level One Logistics". Never seen a single one on the streets yet, but I bet there are 50 brand new ones sitting in that lot. Maybe they are getting into the trailer rental biz ?
