FedEx Freight | Fedex using a union outfit to move freight

Uh, hell no

Agreed!
But you're ok with the status quo....as in leave things the same, no union?

R.C., Go easy... He might be coming around... The Facts are helping, maybe...

For me there are 2 principals at work here. 1st is FedEx will sell out their own loyal employees to Purchase Transportation (Linehaul,Rail, Now City too?) to save money, or fulfill a (intimidation) need. 2nd is the fact that everyone providing a service does so under written contract, except the employees.

I am being easy! I realize he keeps landing on the opposite of the fence as things change.
Just trying to see where his thoughts lie without being too confrontational.

Yea, but I'm pretty sure that's not the point. They should never have used it then if they were so adamant about union services. They are ok with using the union rail to save money and eliminate jobs, but they don't want you guys to have the union in their house. Pretty funny
You seem to make sense for once.

If I thought Freddy would just roll over without any repercussions, then I'd say go for it. I just don't think it's going to be all glitz and glamour as many here would have me believe.

Anything worth having, or keeping for that matter, never comes easy.

Don't take this the wrong way but...If you think the squabbling on this forum board is rough, you'd probably eat a gun if you would've gone through what myself and many others have done to get the campaign this far. If you're not spearheading the campaign, you're basically having it handed to you on a silver platter. Most just don't realize it.

we are already getting repercussions even before union talk. if you have been here any length of time you would or should have seen what the rail and purchase trl. have caused.never had layoffs, got good raises, good ins. pre fedex.not saying the union cant promise anymore layoffs but with a contract we can and will make it to where they will have to use less of the rail and pt.ask anyone that works at upsf and ask them what the contract say's. we can get close to or if not the same as them.to me that's worth it to go union tired of fedex policies, our way or the highway with no respect to all the hard working employies here at fedex freight.

...And BOOM!!!! There u have!!!!!!! It's in their best interest to use a union outfit to SAVE MONEY and ELIMINATE JOBS.....but not as an in house workforce. THIS TELLS U THAT THEY'RE ONLY CONCERNED WITH LINING UP THEIR POCKETS TO THE BEST TO THEIR ADVANTAGE!(BETTER BONUSES). Two faced at it's best!.....AND I'M DONE WITH IT!!!....RIDICULOUS!.......GOING TO BREW MY COFFEE. HELL I MIGHT HAVE TO SPIKE IT NOW...ALL THIS MESS GOT MY BLOOD PRESSURE UP.......GOOD DAY FELLAS/GALS!

Well let's see......we have union companies hauling our freight, union companies building our trucks and trailers, we have countless union customers, or tire suppliers, oil manufacturers, everything around us is union. Except us. Now it is upon us. What will any of us gain from it is the big question. Everyone can speculate. My guess regardless is nothing. Work without a contract for how long before it falls apart. Think about it. ......

Couldn't be more WRONG. Without representation, NOTHING will change for the better (Why would it?) With representation, we have a fighting chance. In fact, if the fence sitters would get on board, it could happen pretty fast, and with premium results. IMHO.

What premium results........name 1 that you will be guaranteed if the union is voted in.
