FedEx Freight | What if???

The fed put a stop to that stuff in the 70's. Is that the best excuse you have for not voting in a union sounds really weak to me. And since I was at Harrisburg which was the last non union hub for Overnite/UPSF I can tell you we didn't have any of that happen we were treated just the same. We gave the company free time while the union terminals got paid to wait.

are you kiding

wow1973and you are still driving how old are you and what comic book are you reading from might be good for a movie script but you were not there

The strike was not union. And if you would like to get your facts right before you post, go back and read a few of mine. I started driving in 69 for Eagle Motor Lines when I returned home from Vietnam. I have a brother who is 70 years old and is still driving over the road. My dad and 2 uncles were truck drivers , as well as both of my brothers, I WAS THERE......

I'm obviously older than you. Perhaps the question should be: Are you old enough and mature enough to be trusted driving a truck?

The 1973 and 1979 strikes were prior to deregulation and were called for and started by independent owner operators to protest the extreme fuel prices caused by situations in the Middle East.

Yes, I remember sitting in line waiting to get a maximum of 8 gallons of gas.
I remember cinder blocks tied to overpasses windshield high.

these were not things done by union drivers.
They were done to union drivers because they were the ones still on the road.
If you want to read about labor and thuggery, read about how Andrew Carnegie handled labor problems.

guess all you guys missed the anti union meeting fred smith aint negotiating with the terrorist called the union no company can be forced into bargaining

Cracks me up with all the classic union Jimmy Hoffa references to the organizing effort going on inside this company. I didn't see any of this stuff going on when UPSF organized after big brown.

I just don't get it people get on here and talk about that happened 4 score and 7 years ago . Get real people the union is not like that no more . Heck people voted for obama in 08 and voted 4 him again in 2012. I guess these are the anti-union guys that like getting lied to everyday . You get on here and down grade the union [which is your choice] but don't have a clue what really goes on in the union cause you bring up the past. I'm sure ya'll are saints and have been your whole life so if something that happened or didn't 30 plus years ago you still want to hold grudges. I'm 99.9% sure that the original af, viking and watkins men and women would not or even think of doing any of that crap ya'll speak of.if you don't want the union that is fine but don't bring up ridculous accuzation that is what we will do if your not on board. I've been here long enough and made alot of friends at fedex and i would never push or threaten anybody here. If, which it will never happen someone punches you in your face cause your non-union then i will bewilling to believe that this a bad cause. Hope everyone has a great weekend

crossing a picket line is very bad...... never cross or take whats coming that simple

why is everybody worried about if we go union we will strike get real. this ain't the old day guys fedex can try for a while to block the union in, but in reality it will be out of their hands if they try to stall. get your facts straight before you post please. go to the nlrb web site and you will get the facts, or call your local.

I assume your joking. With todays technology, anyone who does something stupid gets what they deserve. Everybody has cell phones and most are capable of taking pictures or video, and voice recordings too.
