Yellow | Snitch?

let me make myself clear .people like you are the reason many including myself stay over on facebook and dont come here and comment any more .

I believe the steward is required under both the law and the bylaws of the respective union to inform management of any claims of sexual harassment by an employee. Not doing so may subject the union to civil action. The hearsay you refer to is only applicable in a trial setting, not the reporting of a harassment claim itself.
im not a craphouse lawyer but i pretend to play one on tb

longblade, your bitterness has shown thrugh in most of your posts. Sadly it does more harm to you than it does to anyone else. It also appears now that you're thin-skinned also and can't even take a little ribbing. Must be miserable to go through life that way. Too bad.

PS - I find I learn more by having civil discourse with people who think differently than me. Obviously you don't think that way.

You continue to show your ignorance daily .I have been watching your daily show .pretending to know everything about everything trucking
Bitter HELL NO .why would i be bitter .im a happy camper collecting my monthly payment called a pension with no bills .life is pretty good ..
you seem to be the bitter one .any time any one points out any problems with this whole yrc fiasco you seem to choke on your kool-aid and take up arms against any one who points out the obvious .
If any one who actually still works for this pos company isnt totally pissed then they are not paying attention
No one can learn anything from you and your bury your head in the sand and tell every one its ok attitude.
only thing that has changed in here is that there are less coming here for info as its easier to go to the facebook side and not have to listen from boot lickers and the fact that if someone posts a picture every one has to copy it and reply with it as a quote .
You have fun pretending that you are happy being a big deal on the TB and il go get packed for my rail trip coast to coast across canada . ill see if i can find time check in so i can keep an eye on you making a total fool of yourself.
I sure hope my comp case gets taken care of soon .i could use a couple 100 k to put into my vanguard account .

Have a nice trip. Send postcards.

Pretty much applies to all employers as well as unions as an employer. We don't work for the union and neither do stewards. Now if you to talk about someone being harassed at the hall or the IBT they are an employer. So confiding in a co-worker of steward is only to seek advice since they are not in any position described in your links (management / owner /employer etc.)

45. Self-Reporting
Sometimes violations of the Code, policies, laws or regulations happen inadvertently. If you believe you may have violated any law, regulation or this Code, you must:
• Immediately report the incident to a Compliance Officer
• Preserve and deliver to a Compliance Officer all written and electronic records, notes,
memoranda, emails and other materials applicable to the incident
• Cooperate fully with any investigation
If you do this, it will be considered when determining appropriate disciplinary action, if any. If you fail to self-report a violation; attempt to avoid detection; conceal, destroy or alter records or other evidence; provide false or misleading information; or fail to cooperate with an internal or external investigation, it could result in much more significant disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination of employment.

That's taking it to a new level!!!
What happen to your right to remain silent :clappy:

The differents between reporting a criminal thats robbed your neighbor and the fellow employees is that I have to work with them and not the criminal and I think they left out the part about if you do rat somebody out dont think you won't have to testify.

But isn't there a moral dilemma also? Stealing is stealing no matter what brother or sister does it... I witnessed a theft once at work and talked the guy into reconsidering what he had done.. Until this day, the guy has been a good employee.. Sometimes, when you just talk to someone it helps...

So if your neighbor saw someone stealing something of yours from your home or property or saw someone vandalizing/damaging your house or vehicle you wouldn't want them to call the police and become a "snitch"? Do I understand you correctly?

If it was from your house . . . NO I wouldn't call the police. In fact I would see if they needed help carrying the heavy stuff.

The only thing of value in my house is my collection of caps from trucking companies I've worked for over the years and they wouldn't need help carrying that out!
