ADuiePyle | Linehaul adp

I saw that position on career search out in Allentown,Pa. I wondered if your home daily, description said OTR,Regional&line haul. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

yeah I applied for the position the hr person called back but they are not open up in allentown pa just yet, so kinda on standby until they are up in september

It seems that they change their terminology daily, but I believe a line haul shuttle driver is a night driver that starts in the afternoon, does some trailer drop and hooks at customers and then does a line haul run between close terminals. Yes they are home daily, and the hrs are around 50-55+.

thx bumper, like you said there terminology changes, because you have a position for linehaul which i am guessing is more of a regional kinda gig, and linehaul (shuttle)? home daily start time around 10 pm.

Never! ADP is so stinking busy that we don't have enough line haul drivers to handle them. Around 160 line haul drivers, and around 300 line haul loads to cover each night. Right now there just ain't no option.

I am with the t/l side. Some slipping.Gotta clean out.Truck gets used during the day. For what I see, they have P/D, swaps and linehaul. Swaps is pretty much waht the name implies. There most likely be dock work. I believe there may be some overnites with linehaul.Probably on an individual basis.

swap drivers come in and do late pick ups or drop / hooks. then they do short line haul run. Line haul drivers go to any terminal and sleep out when nec. The shuttle positions will be line haul that does not sleep out but starts 9-10 pm.

so i guess linehaul (shuttle) would be somewhere between a swap driver and a linehaul, dock working by all drivers seems to be a common factor there at adp.

Have not seen a ADP volvo yet at WC term( from the time it takes me to walk from parking lot across the street to the building) Just seen Macks and Freightliners.

You may get an assigned truck, that is also used by another driver on day shift. The only time i don't get my assigned truck is when it is being serviced or if swap or p&d driver gets back too late.
