FedEx Freight | Educate those that are ignorant

Just because someone evaluated the information available and came to a different conclusion than you, doesn't make them ignorant. It just means they came to a different conclusion. They might be of the same opinion about you.

If u vote in the union in your barn you will be starved out! All your freight will go contract. We've got it good guys, leave the Union out! After union dues ups doesn't really have anything on us.
Yeah your right. Oh except about $3 an hour. And superior health insurance. Oh wait and a company paid pension. So that and other than a written contract with a greivance procedure they really dont have much on you.

Did they really evaluate the info ? You cant make that conclusion. There posts of lately are very ignorant and uninformed. I know we should all give up here and leave this place like you did. I will give you props for changing your avatar a few weeks back to show people you don't work here anymore.

Anyone who reads the UPS Freight contract and comes away thinking they "have very little" on us, is not comprehending what they read. http://teamster.org/sites/teamster.org/files/1614upsfta1414ver3.pdf There is seldom any example given as to where we're close to equal.

Now if you read it and then say "we'll never get that", or "we're not worth that", or" fedex wont pay that", then you have an informed "opinion". But it's good to know "some drivers" in this industry are worth that, and do have that, and are among THE leaders in their industry, in terms of growing CUSTOMER base.

Besides being illegal, contacted out to who? All the local cartage drivers around here are already Teamsters. They cannot find drivers now where are they going to find "replacement workers" to be politically correct? So the $320 a week UPSF gets towards their pension doesn't cover the $65 a MONTH in dues?

Not really just job protection, better insurance, better pay, the honoring of seniority, a contract not subject to change at the companies whim you know little things. As for your contract carriers, they do that now and screw the road drivers regularly.

So because I found a better deal and left , I gave up? And you want sympathy? Talk about an ignorant statement.

First, why don't we look at Yellow, because that is a better example than UPSF .Apples to Apples .Second, Fedex has it's pension, you vote yes ,why not make Freddie pay more into it .Unless UPSF will let us join in ,lol .I get why we have opened this Pandora's box,Score card ,three points of contact etc.Third, Hoffa Jr. campaigned for Obama ,check your facts on health care at UPS, they took it in the shorts also because of Obama care.I would like to see a profitable company work with us to make a competitive package for it's hard working drivers ,without jumping in bed with a corrupt organization .

No it's not because of the contract. But the teamster's did save them from going bankrupt, I believe yrc/new penn are still at 15% concessions, and I don't know if they are getting anything in their pension yet. Their insurance you can't beat, and if you work 3 days a week average, it's free including family coverage. Abf I believe is at 5% concession and still getting $9/hr in their pension with the same insurance.

NO, in fact UPSF is a much closer model to FedEx Frt. Without question, especially compared to corporate level, UPS vs FedEx.

As far as Teamsters, they provide a service for a reasonable price. I don't like Microsoft or Apple, as far as their politics, but if I need a computer, guess what, I use them.

Really? UPS package for example? They have an 8+ dollar and hour pension contribution. Dues are 2 1/2 times the hourly rate of pay. Do I need to do the math for you? Let me make it real simple for you. If you make 25 bucks and hour your dues would be $62.50 for the month. If you work a 40 hour work week, $8 an hour pension contribution. 40 X 8= $320.00. Now subtract that $62.50 from $320.00. What did you come up with? Still think UPS really doesn't have anything on you?

Yes please educate me show me in writing what we are going to gain not what we might get because those mites are on dogs ears. I don't want to see what ups has because is you really read the contract they don't have much more than we do now.
You are beyond full of crap dude.
