No hub operations Friday night, road drivers will not work Friday night they will work Sunday night and arrive at the hubs around 8.
 
been doing it in SNT(San Antonio) now about two months now and we are a mini-hub operation. What sucks is this football season and trying to watch the sunday night game is challenging, I not use to this sunday crap yet.
 
All major northeast hubs (NBR, HRS, RIC) are all Monday thru Friday. Only SBR works SUN-THUR. To my knowledge only line haul operation out of HRS on Sundays is MTL and TOR freight
 
I think it's weird that the EOLs are going Sunday - Thursday but no one has said a thing at the hubs about changing the schedule. Of course we only have 2 mini hub runs out of HRS right now so that might have something to do with it
 
It doesn't sound bad until you realize your sunday start time is going to be 4 hours earlier then your mon-thur start time, that screws up your whole weekend.

Haven't heard a single word on any of this happening at HRS as of last night. I don't see how it will work any different then it does now. If they really start your shift on Sunday 4+ hrs early there will be issues with drivers getting their 34 hr restarts which will mean drivers taking Thursday off due to not having any available hours to run. This could get fun messing with dispatch.
 
When you have a room full of high paid suits trying to justify their existence , they will come up with all sorts of graphs and flow charts to prove why their ideas are beneficial and should be implemented.

Yet we still have pot holes in the yard a foot deep and a meter wide, trucks that are held together by zip ties, and paper bills?????

I must sit at least and hour a week waiting for bills to print!

I think your wishing for miracles. After all according to VP of security and quality federal laws prohibits UPS from investing money into UPSF roflmao. I still can't believe how idiotic that guy was while saying we are over paid lol

Minihub will move freight loaded on Friday on Sunday night for monday morning..but I don't see how this would work. Central cant stand freight sitting and will most likely use xtaboards and turn and burns to move Fridays freight.. so, Sunday minihub drivers will probably pull emptys .
 
They will line up the mini hub drivers prior to Friday night. Most likely they will make that the responsibility of local supervisors however I doubt anything that is time sensitive will wait for Sunday that stuff will probably be the 1st thing out on extra board guys Saturday. The only reason I'm saying this is because that's what they did the last time they moved a HRS run from a Tuesday - Saturday to a Monday - Friday.
 
In San Antonio we are a mini hub the xtra board move some of the freight on Saturday and sunday if you leave in the early morningon Sunday and what ever is left goes with minihub drivers who come in Sunday night. Then what ever is left after that the xtra board moves the leftover freight after the minihub guys. But some of that freight is still leaving late so I don't understand some of this of how this is working
 
All freight at end of lines will be loaded on fri night and moved Sunday night, minihubs are starting 4 hours early on Sunday night to ensure all the freight is worked and moved, our minihub starts at midnight Monday-friday now it will not run 8pm on Sunday night, central doesn't have a choice they can move whatever freight they want but there won't be anyone there to work the freight.
