FedEx Freight | Objection filed 10/17 for 10/10?

If they find out and then rule against FXF saying they violated the laws the fines will be extraordinary. Is there a possibility of the nlrb saying the union wins without a new vote due to the election issues that happened the 1st time?

Yes that is a possibility. It's called a bargain order. Basically it occurs when one side has corrupted the fairness of an election so bad and so obvious, that a democratic and fair election could never be achieved so other side wins by order, no vote needed. I hope that's what happens at CIN, even bigger smack in the face to fdx than a revote with the union winning.

This not the first time a non-union company has gone through this.. They don't want it, so they will stoop to any level.. Regardless of the money it costs them... They all have "slush funds" for just this type of thing... The cream will rise to the top...

Companies spend more money trying to keep things form happening that they don't want, than on employee raises... Keep people happy(within normalcy), you don't need that slush fund...

I interviewed once with a nonunion company that was very upfront about their desire to stay so.
They paid more than union scale and had better benefits.
Too bad it was a 60 mile commute each way.

ok speaking from an outsider that works in the very area of cin. even had to delivery freight there the other day for a manager. not sure if I heard all the rumors that came out or if I can even say what I heard on here but the union has got a good case

Oh, as an outsider, you can say what you heard. We've got paid spammers telling us they've got temp. drivers lined up in mass to replace us, even though any driver worth his weight in salt is already working. IMHO, hearsay, is better than outright lies any day.

I doubt they could get temp drivers. After all there is a nation wide shortage. They would be forced to raise pay and benefits drastically just to get drivers at this point I would think

it would cost them to much to get temp drivers. they may raise prices to ship to barns about to bid as a scare tactic so they can tell lower seniority drivers to stay home. I have heard through the grapevine that a few lower drivers were called and told that if the union gets in then they will be laid off. not sure if true but that is the grapevine.

While obviously a scare tactic by the company it will probably happen to a few drivers at a couple of different terminals. And it probably won't happen till there is a contract guaranteeing 8 hrs to 90%
