Yellow | code of conduct

Driver,
go to the web-site fallin flags if you want as good cry.these were the days when a teamsters stuck together no matter what garbage was thrown at them.seems today its every man for themselves.
A teamster forever.

You old timers have fallen outa you're wheel chairs once to many, this is nothing more than yrchoffa freight deciding who gets the work in the april 2015 change, more sig's more work, taking care of the "team players".

Why would we need direction from anyone on a common sense issue as this? I have a good idea, maybe think for ourselves, grow a set and do what weve always done. Don't sign it, but if we acted like men and took that path we wouldn't be able to blame someone.

Maybe, it's time we changed the game with our own plays. We already have a contract, so all this is, is an end run to further circumvent our expired and crippled contract on MOU life support. We need a contractual convention moving toward a new contract - STARTING TODAY.

I believe it's probably more to keep their DOT/ CSA score from becoming a shutdown issue. Equipment already has them in trouble. And a lot of city drivers have businesses on the side or are working two jobs. YRCW is looking to CYA..... Can't believe ANYone working two jobs or running a side biz is turning in two sets of complete logs to two carriers showing their other job.... Especially now that casuals are running the Road.....

One important reason companies produce "code of conduct" rules is to protect themselves from potential legal action if an employee does something illegal and the company gets sued. Having a code of conduct shows that the company has a uniform policy against illegal or unethical activity. Some of you who are getting your panties in a bunch over this need to get a grip. It's not something all that unusual in a large corporation.

Whether you pre-trip from top to bottom, let something happen and see if they don't barbecue your ass.... A driver has no rights anymore.....

If its not in our contract, why would you even consider signing it ? Were not " at will employees". Were contractual employees - which means all aspects of our work rules, safety and performance obligations are to be negotiated by the union. They can't do **** if you don't sign it - but they sure can if you do !! Lol

Thank you sir...................

I guess I didn't make my point very well. :LMAO:

NO , you made your point, but by a contractual situation, like Bruno said, why would you sign it... Your rules and policies are laid out.... Give it to my Steward or BA and let him/her bring it me, proofread and all , and I'll make the decision... Your talking like all driver are "at will" drivers and that simply is not the case... If the company wants to "add to" do it in the next contract...

There's nothing in the document which actually changes any conditions for us. It's really just formally documenting the companies positions on illegal/unethical activities and to show that all employees are aware of those policies. It doesn't change or supersede anything for us as we are still bound by our contract and can only be disciplined in accordance with our contract. This is all just making a mountain out of a molehill. If someone doesn't want to sign to verify receiving/understanding it so be it. It really doesn't change anything.
