Wrong answer! We only need 30% of the employees, (union AND non-union members), to file for decertification election which can't be done for one year (Nov 20,2015) and we showed that we've easily got 30%.
Thomasville Bus showed how easy it is to accomplish. The union was voted in there, one year later they voted it back out!

Perhaps a look at what comes from negotiations is warranted before you lobby for a decert?

For some reason this day reminds me of November 6, 2007.

"congratulations' to those who felt they needed union representation.

30% may get you a vote as NLRB will be easier than Teamster requirements, you'll still need 50% plus one to vote to end representation. So, no, I was not wrong. It can only end when the members say it ends.

Workers at Thomas Built Buses vote YES for UAW, defeat decertification campaign

09/19/09

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Workers at Thomas Built Buses in High Point, N.C., voted by an overwhelming margin to keep their union, defeating a decertification effort by 67 percent to 33 percent. The voting took place Sept. 17 in High Point.

"This is an important victory for our union," said John Crawford, president of UAW Local 5287. "Our membership really came together, and when everybody looked at the benefits of having a union contract and what it means for ourselves and our families, it became pretty obvious that keeping our union was the best decision we could make."

why, they wont have the choice as soon as fxf screws up and gets some charges filed against them. cant decert with charges!!

So true. If the rumors are true in some of the other posts I've read, more heads to roll along with charges filed with the NLRB.

Even if the contract that gets negotiated in five years (my opinion) says that a non- union guy cannot perform those tasks at the union hub? Now you're taking food off his family's plate.

Seems there have been a few taking the food off others plates long before this. Now the shoe might be on the other foot? Boo hoo!

110-97 is the count

CONGRATULATIONS TO CHARLOTTE (CLT) for their victorious effort to Bring The Teamsters to FedEx Freight. This is a monumental victory as CLT is a major hub consisting of 223 combined road and city drivers. This is a sign of great things to come for so many other terminals who are standing by at the ready. Get those petitions filed! It is time to show your support and let FedEx know that we are not persuaded by empty promises and apologies.

Charlotte drivers fell for the trap and will soon learn that the Teamsters only want their dues. They will offer nothing of value in return. Just look at YRC. Drivers are working for much less than those at non-union companies. If you want to know the truth about the union just talk to some employees at YRC or ABF. Ask them about their last pay raise or how their Teamster controlled pension and health care are working for them. The Teamsters are only in this for the money. I suspect there will be a lot of buyer’s remorse from Charlotte employees.

Why did they vote to make less? To make up for the mistakes by YRC and save your company.

Former YRC huh? Then let's talk truth. Every Teamster LTL driver has better health ins. than we do. Would you like to see the difference? We've looked and know the truth. How about retiree healthcare? You and Teamsters have it, we as FXFE drivers, do not. Pension? Let's look at UPS freight, and their 21st century, modern contract, with stand alone pension. Not too shabby.

Tell us again how Teamster are no better off than us.

and yet another angle frm freds union avoidance team.

btw, PLEASE DO ask yrc and abf employees about their health insurance and pension. yrc guys on the concessions will still receive more out of their pension than fxf guys, and yrc and abf health insurance isnt matched by a non union company out there, period.
