That is the

$23.68 here too. This 100% on the first DOLLAR? Really? What is THAT? 100% of a dollar is, ONE FRIGGIN DOLLAR. Send us picture of that statement in your booklet. Never heard that one. Really,I'm being serious. Man,I could provide that benefit to every driver at my barn, and still have a weeks worth of lunch money left out of a C-note.
I do agree with the last part of his statement though....and I expressed this to Mr Reed.....ALL centers should make the same regardless of their location.

What does your statement say about the FedEx appeal of the CLT vote? You are out of CLT,right?

Dang, just respect the vote. If the voters are not pleased with the outcome, promised kept/not kept, they can come back in 6-12mo and either vote again, or Vote the Union out. The burden still seems to be on the Company, right now.
I respect the vote, we lost....for now. Kudos to the pro-union guys, they were able to carry the uneducated voters.
I say uneducated because I know more about the union than half the guys that voted yes!

No thanks. Should be tied to regional cost of living. If I have to pay the guy in Alabama the same I have to pay the guy in Silicon Valley, I'll never attract folks in Silicon Valley for the job OR I'll be way overpaying for the position in Alabama. Supply and Demand. Let it work, quit meddling.

Or maybe your co-workers voted in whatever way they knew would **** you off the most... because everyone loves those know it all edumucated steering wheel scholars. ;)

I know i would have voted yes just to lip sing to you Céline Dions The Power Of Love every day at work.

(song contexts would refer to the union "the power of love")

Now red that's not real nice calling your fellow workers uneducated (ie stupid) and you only know the side of the union that has been told to you by anyone that was discharged for cause and the stinking union couldn't get their job back. They screwed me and were no help at all, seen it been there done that "nuff said good luck fella's

So just because a guy lives in a different city makes him worth less or more money!!!!! Priceless!!!!!

IMHO, I think they (FXF) will have years to complete any changes they feel necessary.

Ugh! I was disappointed by the decision to pull the vote, but many of the people that signed cards ask to pull it to give FedEx a chance to correct things. No one in Nashville wanted a union until things got unbearable.

I spoke with Mr Reed for several minutes and expressed my concerns and what got us to this point. He agreed and gave his word that things would improve and soon!

Also the guys on the committee talked to him and let him know that they were on the committee. He listened to their concerns and ideas for a future voice of the employees with corporate so that the communication lines can stay open and we never return to this point again!

He was also told that if things get bad again we would repetition ASAP! The company ask for a second chance and our fellow coworkers wanted to give it to them. We were not going to push a vote if everyone that signed wasn't comfortable with it!

Call us cowards or whatever you like, but unlike management in the past WE LISTEN TO OUR COWORKERS!

Even I felt that Pat seemed sincere. ONLY TIME WILL TELL!

You imply that fedex will drag their feet in making improvements, given their "second chance". And could take YEARS. I don't think that was the message Corporate shared with the drivers during the meetings, encouraging a vote of no. Did FedEx say, "give us a few years"? NO. You think they will take years. If you are correct, THAT would mean, the company misled. I actually don't think FedEx is as foolish and you seem to think they are. But hey, you have a right to that opinion.

We were told "GIVE US 6 MONTHS If we don't improve then repetition."

Well hopefully everything will work out one way or the other, I guess you have to accept his remarks at face value and see what happens. Anyway everybody have a safe and joyful holidays "nuff said good luck fella's

THANK YOU NASVEGAS!

There have bits and pieces mentioned, as to what was said by corporate, at the various centers, to get Drivers to "give them a chance. Personally, I think Reed gets it. If He does get it, I hope he can bring the other "powers that be" on board.

It is always good to facts out here for clear thinking individuals to be aware of.

FedEx is at $25.08 NOW. Will be much more by the end of your so called contract. Fedex matches 401k 100 percent on first dollar contributed and $ .50 on the rest. Employee pays nothing for the ADDITIONAL pension plan. Yes we do pay for insurance, but not enough to negate our much higher hourly or mileage pay. So as I said Obama-Union math doesn't add up.
What I stated was fact, more less to compare, I will find out what abf"s total pay out per hour is & I an sure its a lot more the fedex pays per employee....As far as the 401k goes 100% on the first dollar impressive, ours is 0.50 plus our weekly contribution of $405.60 per 40 hours. You can come on here and blow all the smoke you want but fedex does not even come close to that the union carriers are paying out. Why do you think they are paying all this money to keep them out. But in the end win or lose your pay & benefits will increase because of the union threat & your low balling of the freight should decrease & the playing field will level out....

I'm sure you never mention Silicon Valley's wages to the infamous Alabama Gentleman? I'm sure if you explained your method he wood either laugh his rear off while going out the door, OR?? We'll never mind you get the gist!!!

You should really have your personal finance manager (providing you have one) actually look at our "lackluster pension"....I think you'd be surprised.
I do not consider $110 a month for a pension after over 15 years of service here much better then lackluster. Go ahead and run that by your personal finance manager. Can't wait for this witty response. Maybe it will include that we should all rely on our 401k and forget the pension.
