Bunk rooms closed to extra board company wide? Man, Rob is up-scaling,huh... They did that crap in ATL when I was running over there, then Shoney's Inn went up on their rates and they were back at the Hanoi Hilton... Everything is written in pencil ya know, so they can erase it quickly..LOL

I don't know. They are having a hard time keeping extraboard drivers. I think that's why they're doing it. Alot of them going to O.D.

You can only use so many people, then the word starts to get out... But I will say, as far as running extra board for anyone, Estes is probably the best, unless they have changed in the last 3 months..

I never ran extra board at Estes, but at Cooper, we never stayed in bunk rooms.. None of the terminals had them, while I was there.. The old Houston terminal had'em but they converted it to office space..

They should pay the whole damn thing, as much as those dispatchers like to interrupt your day by calling and wanting to ask where you are.. I thought that's what the elog did?
That would be nice, but something odd is definitely going on... I almost feel like Estes actually wants me to be happy to work here.... will see come Tuesday, from what my "sources" are saying there trying to emulate OD well there at 61cpm will see how serious ESTES is.
Waiting to pull that OD trigger myself after 6+ years here used and abused on xtraboard. Its been getting worse every year, but PeopleNet really took the miles/wages down. Tuesdays news will decide for many extra board drivers what to do next.

No way Estes will come up to 61 cpm on this raise... I do know that... Hell, that would be a 4 cpm raise right?
Thats about what ive been hearing."Substantial" is the word being used.Then again,nobody knows...It is funny though,as you read the different forums on here,its never enough.You just cant please everyone,even if they gave a .10 raise.

Not true in my case grasshopper, I would put off retiring for a 10 cpm raise, that would have pleased me deeply....... But a 4cpm raise would definitely be an Estes record...

You know the saying,"until you travel in my shoes".I came from a company that hasnt had a raise in 8 years,1 that shut down,and another that is a mid-level LTL carrier.Insurance is affordable,gotten a COL raise both years ive been here,and dont have to put up with much bs...What may have not suited you,suits me just fine....Enjoy your retirement,lol.
