I've just called all of the above numbers and voiced my concern about not cutting retirees pensions in a back door last minute deal. Got voice mail on all except Pelosi and left messages. Her mail box was full and wouldn't take any new messages. Also sent email to Yoder and Roberts in Kansas. Yoder answered and is also against this. Roberts didn't respond, might explain why Pelosi's box is full tonight!

Pelosi and her husband are rich Northern California tycoons that could care less about the working stiff.. When Countrywide Financial had the huge layoff here about 7 years ago, there son had just started working for Countrywide.. Because of their money and status he kept his job while a man with 20 years lost his job... First day on the job and their son gets a 1 million dollar loan from Countrywide to purchase a house nearby.. She's a real POS in my opinion... One of her famous quotes:"We must pass this bill, to read it"(commenting on the ACA healthcare bill).... One of those "midnight voting" sprees this Congress has slipped by the American people...

These stupid freakin' morons don't support the pensions, they support the spending bill and taking from retirees as a "loan" is wrong.. They're thieves and that the only word to define them, Progressive Democrats and Progressive Republicans... Like Pelosi, Kline, Miller and Reid.. It took a majority to pass this abomination, so they are all linked in one fashion or another... As I've said countless times, siince this Congress was conceived, trust none of them... They are not for unions or non-unions....
I agree, and would add that it is not only "progressive Democrats" or "progressive Republicans"......it is ALL of them...and the propagandized media was silent on the matter..... They very well know the vast majority of Americans would not be supportive of stealing significant portions of retirees pensions...... America has lost even more of what once made it great.... Sad indeed....
"trust none of them"...sage advice.....and that is why, as I've stated before, I don't support any of them..... If this doesn't show their true colors and where their loyalties are...just what would it take....?
I could have accepted the anti cutback rule being removed from ERISA if he had been passed as a normal stand alone bill. I wouldn't have liked it but the laws the law . The NCCMP couldn't even get enough votes in committee to move the bill to the house floor for debate and a vote. So Kline & Miller negotiated a last minute backroom deal and attached it to the Omnibus Funding bill where congress has to pass it in order to avoid a government shutdown. I don't want to see anyone's earned pension cut even as a last resort. But this isn't a last resort. There were alternative solutions offered during the house committee on education and the workforce hearing last year.
Not many politicians would have voted for a stand alone bill that would hurt retiree and their families. Especially since it wasn't an emergency situation and it wouldn't cost taxpayers a penny. So Kline & Miller used a backdoor tactic to push their pork bill which catered to the NCCMP lobbying efforts on behalf of big business. IMO it's just typical politicians being bought and paid for by big PAC money

The country really does need a legitimate news source that does true unbiased journalism, not entertainment news. We need a "vigilant press". There are no worthy news gathering organizations left, no investigative reporting, it's tragic. They all feed us fluff while the country crumbles around us.
And sadly, the real reason why there is so much "fluff" these days is because that's what so many people want to watch. In my opinion, it just reflects the "dumbing down" of the population. Sad commentary on where we're headed.
PS - Just look at what passes for "entertainment" these days.
not 'all of them'. The Tea Party and Senate Conservatives Fund sent emails against the Omnibus. SCF even ran TV ads against it....
