This a new one to me, but here it straight from the handbook;
RECORDING DEVICE POLICY Averitt Associates shall not place any recording device(s), including but not limited to cameras, video recorders, motion sensors, or audio recorders, in an Averitt tractor-trailer or in any other Averitt provided equipment.
Associates are also prohibited from recording other associates without authorization.
Any violation of this Policy shall result in discipline, up to and including, immediate termination.
Averitt may place in any tractor trailer or in any other equipment, recording devices, including but not limited to, cameras, video recorders, motion sensors and audio recorders. Averitt Associates acknowledge they have no legitimate expectation of privacy while operating their Averitt provided tractor-trailers and/or equipment and, as a result, waive any claims they may have regarding invasion of privacy. Averitt may use any recording device placed in an Averitt tractor-trailer and/or equipment to make employment decisions, including issuing discipline or separating employment.
Any attempt by an Averitt Associate to manipulate, destroy, or alter an Averitt recording device placed in an Averitt tractor-trailer or equipment without the express written permission of an Averitt Leader shall result in immediate termination

I would like to have a dash cam to PROTECT my interests! Averitt probably does not any video's of the CLOWNS driving their equipment!

In other words, I'll run my dash cam. And for your own safety, every Averitt driver that reads this should run one as well for your own protection. AE and it's crack staff at HR is NOT your friend or on your side. You have a right to protect yourself.

I wish Averitt revisits the Dash Camera policy.....not only would it PROTECT the driver, also the company, especially when driving in high traffic areas.

Jeepman speak to your leadership, we have volunteers using company issued dash cams, who knows they might need another.

Just run the damn camera. How many drivers haul their wife/girlfriend around without going through the "proper" channels. Much of their idiotic elevating goes unnoticed by me.
