FedEx Freight | purple koolaid drinkers

The facts are it was pulled because the union did think it would lose. Nothing distorted about that fact. As far as the issues being addressed more people trusted Fedex than trusted the teamsters.
Trust the company more? Those members wanted to give the company a chance. There is no sense in pissing away all that money and come up short when the employees felt good about what they were told by the company. Good for them. I hope Freddy keeps the purple promise. If he f's that up the entire nation will come on board. Pulling the vote shortens the time frame just in case Freddy fails to deliver. Waiting 6 months is better than 12 any day. Good luck to all.

First of all not Members, employees. Not a union. Second of all yes "Trust" or there would have been a vote.

A little typo there Hammered Purple. Look at a couple lines further down. Sorry you took offense. Hopefully we won't have to edit it in the next few months and you will all be members. To say they didn't trust the Union would not be a fair statement. Wanting to believe in their company means a great deal more to some. Hell, as many times as YRC has lied to me I still have a glimmer of hope they will prove me wrong about my feelings for them.

Not so! People wanted to give FedEx a chance to fix problems before getting into the long hard battle of negotiations. Teamsters never deceived us or promised us anything!

Fedex ask for a chance and 30% of people that signed cards wanted to give it to them. Instead of pushing the vote on some that were second guessing or wanting to give FedEx a chance. We gave them 6 months. If they go back to same crap. That 30% will be comfortable in voting and probably be able to add more to ranks.

Finally, someone with a 1st hand account, of what the whole "pull" really means. I thought that was the case, though many want to call it a loss or a win. It is more of a chance...

Wrong. Driver from there stated a fact. They talked with Pat and they came to an agreement, pull the vote and the company will address the issues.

As bad as the teamsters need new members, even Hoffa sent a letter stating that this was war with fedex, there is NO way the union would give in to allow the company a chance. You are delusional if you think otherwise. Typical twisting of the truth to try to make the union look better. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

Delusional is perfectly represented by you. When you are confronted by a driver at that terminal stating the real reason yet you still "twist the truth" to make the anti-union look better. You can't polish a turd either so put the rag down.

Wasn't trying to polish you. Get the "point".

If it was 30 percent then it will would have been a loss just like I said. As Mr. Hoffa stated in his letter"This is a war on Fedex". Yeah sure the union wanted to just play nice as bad as it needs new members. And pushing the vote on some sounds about right as well.

The petitioner does have a voice. One would be foolish to move forward when the collective group wanted to allow the company time to correct the problems. Why handcuff yourself for 12 long months if the company backs out on the promise? Smart move by the petitioners.

I didn't say 30 percent would have voted no! I said they wanted to give them a chance... So instead of pushing a vote we listened to our coworkers. Instead of forcing them to vote yes or no. Many of us have worked years without a union and maybe some of us hold out hope that it can return to the good old days, but I'm not holding my breathe!

If things go back to the way they were before you will see Nashville repetition and I promise you we will be a lock.

So please stop speculating about Nashville. We may have lost or we may have won, but it would have been close either way. So we chose not to force the 30 percents hand!

Good night now!
