I did not and would not imply for even a second that runawaytrain should not post here. I never suggested that to him or anybody. I would have liked to, but then to maintain my ethics, I would have to ask others that I agree with to leave as well. It's called being consistent and demonstrating character.

And why do you believe Grape Ape, that he is a Conway driver? You're happy to hear from him because he is "an actual Conway driver", but you're not happy to hear from me?

I work for Con-way. Believe it or not, it doesn't really matter to me. You can jump to conclusions after a few posts or form an educated opinion over time. A smarter person will do the latter. Is there a trend of one side or the other jumping to conclusions? Based on my short time here, the pro-union crowd have the majority of the conclusion jumpers. I'm not saying that they are, but that's the current trend that I am reading. I'll see over few months if it it just an isolated few or a general pattern. If it becomes common place, it's just another reason to hold to my "No" vote. Right now, I don't have an official opinion.

If you want people to join your side (either side), don't accuse, don't attack and don't act a like a child. It's not the person that you're arguing with that really matters here, you wont change their minds. It's the silent ones who aren't posting. Think about it, if someone is coming here to read about the union activity, they are looking for information. If they were pro or anti, theirs a good chance that they will post, but if they are on the fence, they're just reading. There's some real childish behavior on here that only hurts the cause. "I disagree and here's why..." is powerful. "You're stupid" is ignorant. Do you want to attract people who are level headed and think things through? Or people who think it's cool to name call and belittle?

I never thought you were not a driver at Conway. I threw the suggestion out there in response to overtly inconsistent "logic".
Keep an open mind and see the message through the noise. Personally, I appreciate your level calm and your ability to articulate your self. Don't change, as I often let this crap pull me in.

If it makes you feel any better, I believe you are a Con-way employee. Not really. But there I said it. You can print it and paste it on your wall.

I know you aren't an actual Con-way employee because if you truly believed in being ethical and valued character, you would have quit a long time ago. Those things no longer exist here.

The way you talk it sounds like you believe this place can be changed or saved. No one here thinks or believes that. We are just trying to get the most out of our time here until it is our turn to move on.

And you will move on. Their choice or yours. The time will come and you will go. Ain't many that retire here. Most of us just hope to be able to leave with our health.
 
That means a lot high ,but you know we all want his praise right lol. OK do we have off the 2nd as well I heard . i tried to get that off they said no of course. I told hr well i take a point then. See that's how u do it. Sucks that I won't be able to call in at 9pm to tell them if its true.

WOW, If I felt that way about where I worked I would have been gone a long time ago!! Think what you want but where I work I come in do my job and never worry about looking over my shoulder. Things could be a lot better then how they have transpired but never have I had that mind set about my job!!! I believe if I and now remember I'm sayin (I) felt that way about going to work I would get out why I still had my health and go some where that I could walk in the door with my head held up and enjoy what I do! At least for the most part anyway...

Anyone can be anyone on the internet, that's life on the internet. I don't see anyone using there actual name, so we all want a certain amount of anonymity. I don't want too much info on me out there, but I'll say this much - I drive a single axle day cab, the white one.

Yes we did in carhaul,hade a 15% giveback that was restored at end of contract. that was 2 contracts ago.

I guess if the baseball players union gets something good in their contract these LTL truck drivers will take credit for that too.
 
not really, the carhaulers are a national contract under the teamsters that came back from a bankruptcy with a wage concession.

keep pouting about being proven wrong.....
