I remember Art Lyons, one the big dogs with Red Ball.. After Red Ball went out, I became an O/O.. Later I sold my business and went into the LTL industry.. I went to work for a small company out of Dallas, Texas, called Impala Transportation.. Guess who owned that company.. Yes, Art Lyons... Great guy at Red Ball and even a greater guy to work for at Impala.. Too bad he fell ill and his sons took the company down to nothing.. Impala closed in 1990, just 10 years after Art started the company.. Art died of cancer on 1989.. Art was a great person and owner.. May you rest in peace Art and your efforts were greatly appreciated by those of us who really knew you...
