How long do you think we can hold them back for you?
Once again, the ATA, made up of all of ourcompanies, supports this.
The Teamsters oppose it.
Maybe you think your siding with the company will help you with this.
It won't.

Time to make a decision who's side your on.
The drivers'?
Or the company?

You can't believe this won't affect your pay.
It will affect your pay like deregulation affected Teamster pay and bennies.
Harder to negotiate and down down down we go.
This is deregulation Stage II.

Drop your nonsensical ideas on the union and wise up quick.
Petition.
Vote YES.
And stick together.
We need you.
And you need us.
Wether you realize it or not.
The companies and government only listen to a collective voice and collective money.

So if someone doesn't agree with open boarder trucking, they have to support the teamsters? Isn't it possible they can be against both?
Really, sit back and be hard headed and see how it turns out!!!!!!!!!! Their not asking anything from you except for you to protect your wages and lively hood.... It's not a secret agenda to sign you up, of course if you weren't around during deregulation then I see why you don't get it!!! If you think private transportation effects your jobs wait and see what the border crossing does for you!! Sometimes you need to put common sense ahead of bull headness. With that being said I guess you weren't around for the turmoil this industry went through During that time!! Jobs lost and people losing everything they ever worked for, it was a very hard time for a lot of folks and their families!! With your handle I guess you don't know a lot about freight and how it works!! Sometimes you need to bury the sword, like I said they need your support, These company's are sitting back licking their chops and waiting to finish off our industry and this will be a big blow to it !!! No disrepect intended, just makes me angry for people to sit back with their hands clasped and do nothing, and be the first ones to cry foul when their jobs go away!!! Once it's done there is no turning back!

Something like this is going to effect everyone weather your union or nonunion; management or blue collar worker. This is a lot like NAFTA except in reverse. The owner operators will most likely get hammered first but well have to see how it shakes out. OOIDA had been standing with the teamsters on this issue (something we actually agree on) for not only our members but the OO as well.

As I have said in the past, drivers will become a dime a dozen. I will sit on my porch and watch the demise of the LTL Industry. It has already begun!

And that's the problem with the teamsters, it's not a "you're either for us or against us". I can be against open border trucking and against the policies the teamsters stand for. Until the teamsters change their ways, they will slowly die. You can't be so blinded by the Teamster's blinding smile that you don't see the reasons behind so much resistance to join, can you?

Look within the organization, fix the problems that are apparent and the teamsters might have a chance at survival. Don't do this and they will continue to flounder. The teamsters have got to offer something that is appealing for people to want it. Judging by the resistance at FedEx, they are not.

So glad I am at the tail end of my career. Does anyone understand why their is a driver shortage and why the Mexican borders will be opened up and what the consequences will be...................stay tuned for your dime a dozen jobs.

You a

You really don't get it!!! That's about all I can say! You know what I mean?? Enjoy your evening and be safe on your run..

All your Union companies belong to the ata how about that
What has that got to do with anything!! That's why we have the teamsters, other wise we would be in the same boat as a whole bunch of others.. Now how about that.

They're coming.
Yours and our companies want them here.
Its gonna take pay down.
Once one starts using them eventually they all have to.

Gaurdrail. There is no "real" opposition " to it without participating by becoming part of the numbers.
It takes numbers and money.
The Teamsters don't make the reality of the statement you're either with us or against us.
Your choice is either join the fight and pay your share or....you do as the companies want and stay there thinking or talking but not putting money or name on the line.
Its the reality of it.

Scared of Fedex for your job?
Wait till you see how scared everybody will be when the gates are wide open.
i hope ya dont wait....They'll wrecm it all.

The word Teamster will be changed to American trucker when Mexican drivers are on your side of the argument.
The chealest will win the " competition".

And quite a large amount of nonunions weather LTL or TL belong to the ATA as well. This will first effect owner operators then truckload is gonna get sacked. With the Mexican Peso being pegged to the US dollar that is why there is such a disparity in pricing. All of us are going to see changes in wages and benefits down the road with this piece of crap legislation. When you have a weak peso and a strong US dollar things in Mexico are cheaper to purchase with the latter in reverse.

With Foreign Exchange it truly is the language of bargain shopping for cheaper labor. This is so far above the union/nonunion issue it truly is scary with Wall Street calling the shots. The OOIDA who represents nonunion owner operators along with the teamsters have opposed this since day 1. They have been opposed to this because all of those members want to have stability in the freight rates to keep wages strong for both parties members and that meant keeping out cheap labor. The warning shot has been fired across the deck industry wide.

So let me get this straight, the teamsters are OK with Mexicans coming to America, by any means necessary, except if they are truck drivers? How you guys can support a two faced organization, like the teamsters, is beyond me.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the International Brotherhood of Teamsters believes that the most effective way to fully protect U.S. workers, reduce the unlawful exploitation of immigrant workers, and eliminate the incentive of employers to hire undocumented workers is for all workers – immigrant and native-born, to have
full and complete access to the protection of labor, health and safety laws; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Teamsters Union supports efforts to enact a comprehensive reform of the immigration system that includes a rational and reasonable pathway to earned legalization in order to end the underground, second class worker economy, where they are easily exploited by employers whose actions harm all U.S. workers by driving down labor standards and depriving federal, state, and local governments of revenues; and

One of the original purposes of the union was to prevent minorities from working in skilled trades. The union's original goal was racism. Imagine that.
Again you missed the point, why would one expect anything else???? Two geniuses at heart would rather pick apart everything besides the issue of the post!!! Mexican Trucks Crossing The Border!!! But then in the end it will be the Teamsters fault because they didn't try hard enough. I don't really know what you people are so afraid of!
I really don't get it, maybe we should all start drinking out of different water fountains and ride on the back of the bus standing up? I for the life of me don't get it? lol my trash man asked me Last year if I could get him on where I work and when I told him it was union he said oh no my daddy said them teamsters was terrible men so no I couldn't do that, I told him that's cool just keep tipping those nasty ass garbage cans for $11.50 an hour!!! Couple months later he ask me again how could he apply, well he has been there 11 months now and everyday I see him he can't thank me enough for helping him get on here, and a damn good worker tooo!!

Union leaders are in it for Themselves.
Politicians the same.
keep voting in these "world is one" types...lol
how anyone can be for Mexican drivers and supporting criminal union lEaders is beyond me.

You got two major problems, with no one in charge voting for truckers.
YOUR SCREWED... everyone
