Yellow | U.S. Treasury Dept. Investigation At Kansas City Terminal

All I can do is speak with my Tax person about this supposed 15% stuff. She used to be an IRS agent.I will not advise anyone to amend their taxes without seeking legitimate sources for advice.I will not lie to anyone here that reads these boards.

I don't really have a dog in this fight because I'm retired but why is it funny about a NO voter still coming to work everyday???? I'm mystified. :idunno:

It's funny when certain "No" voters act like they're the "real" tough Teamsters by voting no and then mocking the "yes" voters as being "sheep" yet they sheepishly keep coming in to work for the lower wages themselves. If they were as much stand up guys as they pretend to be why do they accept the wages of the so-called "sheep"? Mind you my only issue is not with all "No" voters but only those who continue to make the smart-a** comments about the "Yes" voters.

I guess it depends on how one votes......personally I see nothing wrong in watching a little "sheep shagging". :hide:

I was under the impression there are no "yes" voters, at least not on TB.

U.S. Treasury Dept. Investigation At Kansas City Terminal over employees taking a tax write off for the 15% wage cut. Big fines and possibility of incarceration could be coming. One person in particular has been deemed as the ringleader and refused Treasury Dept. access to his home. Also, the IRS is getting involved in this same case with likely fines, penalties, and interest. This write-off is illegal folks. I know it's tax time and I'm sure this investigation is going to spread like wildfire throughout the country, please don't get caught up in it!
Am hearing that if funds were transferred electronically or by mail, there could be possible charges for wire or mail fraud. I would think that there would have to be a preponderance of proof that a law was knowingly broken for this to happen. Sounds like the Feds want to make an example out of someone.

I voted yes to keep this sinking ship upright a little longer to give me time to find another decent paying dock job. No luck have gotten turned down at power company "Union" 3 times said no longer considering my application. Why because I have no experience ? Been doing this for 24 yrs is it my age ? 47 . The next step after filling application his getting called to take a test never given that chance. Railroad material handler job same thing thank you for your interest but we have better suited applicants. I'll just keep on looking

Here in Indy that happens a lot. Every company knows the reputation of almost all the dockworkers in a town. Managers spread the word. Union spreads the word. Reading your posts on here or social media tells em too....

That's the main reason why I favored a "Yes" vote also. Anyone who didn't want to work for the concession wages would have had the chance to look for something better in the meantime while those who couldn't find anything better would at least still be employed. Much better for everyone than if the job shut down. Of course I know there are more than a few hard heads who think differently.

PS - "Hard heads" is the polite term I chose to use here. There is another term I originally wanted to use but changed my mind because I didn't want to get banned.

I retired from Roadway Albuquerque in 2009. Went to a meeting about retiree health insurance yesterday at Teamsters Local 492 in Abq. Ran into an old friend from when the Roadway dock and relay were off of Eubank. Back to the days when the dock was a bunch of flatbed trailers chained together and George R. ran the relay.

being retired after 25 years of yrc and 37 as a teamster is not the same as running away because i couldnt hold my cushy bid when this all started .hell you never had any real skin in this game .why is it you still are hanging onto yrc
we all didnt run as soon as it got hard. some even tried to fight for our rights . you have argued that we never had any .waaa!!! waaa!!!! waa!!!! go away back under your boss's desk

Been there, Done that. His "comical" comments are offensive! A reference to the Grim Reaper brought silence.

Yes, SC they did. One important change was giving raises to all Teamsters. Not just drivers.

My opinion, since I'm reading the re-amended proposal now.
The "MOST" important change, was deletion of 1 vacation week for employees with 8, 9, or 10 years of seniority for 3 years.
Approximately 25% of our barn, a year ago, were in this range.
