It's a slow NFL news week, so they are just keeping this b.s. scandal alive to keep the NFL relevant for the next week.
 
You're right about it being nearly impossible to get a permanent ban from the NFL. They could get caught 10 times, get thrown out, appeal it, and they'd be back the next season, and they all know it.

If he had murdered somebody or it was some general thuggery, I would agree. But this drug policy has always been strictly enforced.
 
But how many players have been permanently banned? It would have to be a very short list because they keep giving them multiple chances to clean up their act.

There was just recently another NFL player arrested for domestic violence. The story has been kept kind of quiet though.

By the way, Josh Gordon's most recent violation was for alcohol.
 
I did my best to stomach the Pro Bowl game last night. But I was really happy to see guys like J.J. Watt playing catch with the kids in the stands and interacting with the fans. That's a positive image for the NFL.
