Holland | open board

Most of the other carriers are slow right now also. Sure, some areas will keep busy, but as a whole, most companies are slow this time of year. It's normal.

I remember back when my terminal's overall numbers were in the tank, we had high seniority drivers claiming that we were swamped with freight......since they were going out loaded to the back and having to hustle all day. Even though the rest of us were just riding around killing time all day. Some are so selfish that they don't get the big picture.:duh:
 
Name of the game is run hard in spring and summer save your money so when up and down winter months come you won't be stressed for big miles
 
Ha , if you want more hours come on into the city , city guys are getting 60 to 65 hours a week , as you can work the dock as long as you want , and then they wonder why work comp. injuries are so high !!!!!

That sounds like a good idea, and some probably try it. They start out running hard in the good weather so that they can put some money away, then they see that extra money pile up........then they go buy more toys and have to keep running hard all year.

I didn't get in until this morning, Thursday they sent me to ME instead of in the direction of home. then on to SI with a hot empty. SI to AK Friday nite, then a mini to get me home last nite. I don't know how they aren't clearing the board down there, I cant get a 5 day week to save my life!

im gettin real sick of run your dick off Friday nite, after the middle of the week is only getting me 350-400 mile nites......
