Totally agree need to clean house. Clear out all sr execs, all vp's, need to thin out several layers of mgmt. Dont need regional managers and vp's Or get rid of all terminal managers (not allowed to make decisions anyway). Time for them to lean this company out instead of keep coming back to us for concessions. Really think they need new blood the yellow and roadway mgmt are clueless and need a new mind set that appreciates the work and sacrifices that we make, instead of just focusing on trying to fire people.
 
I heard the the word " Working Foreman" the other day. A blast from the past could this circus be looking to do away with the number cruncher on the dock ?
Any new Safety Supervisor positions at your barn ?
Safety team made up from the under the desk gang ?

Who makes the decision on who needs to go? Another so called clueless person? Yes there are some management here that probably should not be, but who do you get to replace them? Just saw another good, supervisor quit at a Chicago area terminal because he got an $8,000 raise to go over to a competitor. YRC is not able to offer higher pay to pull quality people away from our competition.

Maury myers turned yellow around in the late 90's by cleaning out mgmt. Got rid of the fat and had the ones left working 12 hr shifts, didnt take long before we were making money again. When he turned the company over to BZ it was in very good shape, but then BZ went on a shopping spree and kept adding layers of mgmt on top of each other, and thats where we sit today.. Debt Ridden and Bloated!!!

Maury Myers was the only person at Yellow that new how to manage a company during my 19 years with the company. And yes, he did do it by making cuts in upper management and by servicing freight (making customers and workers a priority). It's a shame that so many have a short memory of the contributions that he made for Yellow Freight. The ones they have left are either clueless or flat out don't give a damn!
