I was just poking around on the ABF info round table and their were some questions asked about ABF buying Holland. One question that was asked if they would be dove tailed or end tailed.Info round table has yet to respond to the questions. This is the first I've heard anything about this. Anyone else?

Heard nothing here and I agree with Stimpy.

I doubt ABF has any intentions of buying Holland or any other Teamster line. To answer your question they would dove tail like all the other Teamster organized lines ABF has purchased over the years. (Youngblood, Navajo, ETMF, Worldway Corp.- Carolina including Red Arrow etc.)

I agree with you all,but I'm just telling you what I read on the round table. I doubt YRC would sell their cash cow anyways.

Just a heads up Brother. All post on the POUND TABLE are censored and nothing is posted until it is OKAYED by people very high up in the abf chain of command. Also by using your employee number to log in takes away all your privacy. Not to mention that they keep tabs by following you after you have logged out of their site. That site is a propaganda site and they used it well to take our money. JUST SAYING!

I did hear and had pretty good sources that abf did make a lowball offer few years ago when yrc was in dire straights but was rejected. Hollands a good carrier and abf would have to pay a good price because yrc lenders would make the final decision on any deal. That said i'm sure yrc would sell if the price was right.

I don't doubt that the company made an offer in the past. If the assets, real estate etc. were of equal value or more less liabilities it would have been a good business move. I think the company is still looking to expand. A company has to grow to stay in business.

I always seem to get responses that say "Your manager or a member of the management team at your terminal will be in contact with you shortly." Black listed like crazy cause I ask real questions that they don't like.

My guess is if yrc freight can't make money on their own the banks that they owe money to are not going to let them sell the money making regionals. Just my opinion.

Holland does not fit the future abf business model. They are interested in companys that have no physical assets(or very few) Soooo much easier to make money when all you need is a office,a phone and a computer.JUST LOOK AT WHAT THEYVE BEEN BUYING

I wish they would . Any company that has separated from YELLOW has done well for themselves

(a) For the duration of this Agreement, the Employer agrees not to establish or purchase any union or non-union trucking company without the prior approval of TNFINC.

It was stated that as long as Purchased transportation was being used, they couldn't and wouldn't buy anybody. this is our protection. It ould further destroy our seniority boards and amt of pension contributions, debt yada yada.. it wont and cant happen.

This has been brought up and answered a million times. YRCW is all regionals. and YRC freight. Zollars tied them all together. If one closes, they all close. If someone buys 1, they bought them all, along with the 1.3 billion debt. They could buy the whole thing and close who ever they want, but the debt is tied to all 4 companies.

If I would have won the powerball I was going to buy the whole thing and run it as a trucking company.
