So I'll give the benefit of doubt because it's winter with the slow freight and all but it's still frustrating as hell.

I'm already on 14 hours of waiting after my 10, almost close to doing a 34 hour reset!...

Is this a regular thing in the spring and summer too or is it just a seasonal thing. I might get get so fed up with the waiting that I might just switch to city....

Anyone have feedback?

Brother, I am a combo driver, mostly run city. We are shut down due to the weather. Personally I am glad that they put safely above operations!!!!! I know that you are frustrated with waiting. It's the weather, the eastern U.S. is a mess. It cost us all money ,lost wages but I am glad that they care about our safety.

It's going to bust loose before long and you will get all the miles you want!!!!

Yea, I finally got rolling. I think it was just the local line haul dispatch that was being lazy.

I called central and they got me rolling within minutes. Idk, should I just start dealing with central only when doing extra board to skip the middleman at the dispatch office?

Happened to me in Memphis one time.Central told me,next time,to call them instead of local linehaul.Got to watch out for that home-cooking.

I'd definitely call central in Chicago instead of waiting for captain smoke break every 5 minutes.

Tampa running an add for OTR/Regional. The add says you'll be home ever other day. What's the true scoop?

JWT, there are no guaranties. Most drivers start as extra board. Maybe they use you, maybe not. Maybe on the road all week or home every day. You will start at the bottom so you need to be flexible until you earn some seniority.

Hate to bring up old rumors, but back at bid time there was a bunch of rumors flying around about bringing the green board back or something similar to it,or it could be just a way to get applicants to come in. You have to admit the home every other day does sound pretty good.

Green board would be nice, 4 day work weeks would be great (pption to work 5-6 day) being away from home/family + plus eating unhealthy living. It would be great. When your gone 120+ hours a week it takes a toll om you, 2-3 weeks of vaca is nice to have but running like that 5-6 days a weekly nights its bad for over all health.
