did anyone see the fedex freight TWIN SCREW volvo sleeper unit on the video about how you can leave your truck running while not in it to warm it up in cold temps? This is on the tvs at your terminal.speculate, speculate!!!it's a new truck not an old watkins, plus twin screw....

Haven't seen the video. When it is really cold i start mine and let it warm up policy or not. If it's cold enough for it not to shut off it should be running. IMO

They have a Volvo sleeper unit in Atl that they use to train with, has seats in the bunk instead of a bed.
I'm sure they probably have one in HRO also...or it could be the same one.

the one in atl is a single axle.i wonder if the twin might be used for pulling rail boxes thru the system.the rail is getting tight with capacity.

The one they had in Atl that I'm speaking of was a twin screw, had a co-worker who drove it back to our yard so the TDC guys could use it to practice with. The SOB would fly...passed me like I was sitting still and I had a 68-70 mph truck!!!

Did someone call for Canada?

Yes, we're all contractors up here. I can't say I've seen this video, but if you've seen a Volvo sleeper with a twin screw I would almost guarantee its one of ours. I have one (see avatar) and I'm at TOL every night.

I've never seen a twin screw in HRO except for the equipment haulers and their flatbed trailers.

I remember back in the AF days and the just starting to bloom FedEx Freight days that there was a driver out of Harrison that delivered the equipment. I think they called him "The Indian, or Indian". He looked like the "Chief" from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Great guy. Got my first Kenworth delivered by him.

That's Billy, he still works at the HRO shop and has a new stretched out KW T660 with polished super single Alcoas and upper fairings rehmoved.
