Are you forced to come into work during a snow storm?

How many service centers give you a point if you call out because of a snow storm?

No they changed the policy last year when the U came around. Now if we don't think we can make it to work safely it's not held against us.
I have heard of people getting points if others in your area make it in and you call and say you can't. Even after the "new" rules came out

They need to call Hr, because the policy is if you can't make it to work it doesn't count as a occurrence! If it's due to bad weather. That came out of one of the top Hr people's mouth during our FedEx love fest in December. Trust me if someone scratches their head to hard around here these guys are calling out like crazy!

Well in my case the U ain't going anywhere at EPH. Funny, last year, we had guys critically written up for calling out with a foot of snow falling and most customers closed. This year, its "safety" and we love you, don't risk it, stay home! Thanks from me to "U"

we are expected to make it to work and make it as far as we can. till either the road is closed or the driver makes the choice to shut it down out on the road. if 70 put the chains on and keep it movin till out of hrs.
