City Driver's that are pulling overweight loads back to the terminals , because of not enough driver's in a area , you need to STOP DOING IT !!! you are not being a HERO !!! remember you will get the fine and if you are in a wreck , you will be sued and yrcw-holland will not pay your lawyer bill or stand up for you in court !! and it's is not our problem that they can not hire driver's , and yes all terminals have the same few hero super truckers that do it , and its taking work away from your teamster brothers , that would have been a 2nd load out of that area !!

Just heard a city driver 2 weeks ago bragging about hauling in 52k. Way to go hero!
Yep , we had one bragging that he pulled back 61-K lbs !!! guess you can't fix stupid !!!! point is say NO to dispatch on overweight loads !!

I carry 6 x 6 blocks to put between the springs and the frame so the trailer doesn't bottom out. Rides a little rough but you get used to it. Seriously worrying about junk like this will just make you sick.

Remember you're road drivers and and by nature road drivers will believe anything!

No surprise coming from some JO city guys, they'll run overloads and equipment that needs to go to shop. They think that mgmt appreciates it and they'll keep getting 20hrs OT. The other half will just rat out others to mgmt to keep their deals. Lalala.

That watch you sold me runs backwards, and they spelled Rolex wrong. Roll X isn't right. I want my money back!

Back when I was at Con-way we had some city tractors with little C-9 Cat motors and were only licensed for 60k gross. We had a drop trailer pickup that loaded at least 35-40k on most of their trailers. Every time they sent me up there in one of those pieces of junk I would either make the customer pull freight off if I thought it was over or I called dispatch to send in a road unit. I'm sure every single one was over on the drives (single drive tractor) and with a city kitty it was overweight. No way I was getting a ticket for their sorry butts. Even if you weren't overweight you were a road hazard, those trucks couldn't get over 45 on the highway with any weight at all on them.

Yep - excellent point wongway. Heres something else for you Holland guys to take notice on. The dedicated city Sterlings are only registered for 56k GVW. Look at the registration paperwork. The Sterlings used for linehaul are registered for 72k. So, the truck weighs just under 17k and the trailer is right around 15k. That's 32k combined, so everytime you haul more than 24k on the trailer you are running overweight. When I refused to pull a 30k load with one of em my dispatcher said "drivers pull loads out of there all the time in those trucks" ! I said " people jump off bridges all the time too, but i'm not doing it" ! He was pissed of course, but ended up sending someone with a linehaul Sterling and swapped trucks with me. Nothing more was ever said about it, cause he knew I was right. Another thing you freight stud superstars need to know : when you work all day delivering and picking up, then come back to the barn and take your lunch in the drivers room at your 12 th hour - you are in violation of hours of service. If you don't take your lunch by 8th hour on the clock youre in violation. If you are involved in a fatal accident, youre going to prison to tell trucking stories for 20 yrs. Not trying to come off as a smartass - I know I did, but really just want my brothers to be aware; you are ultimately responsible for everything that happens in that truck. Please protect yourselves brothers !!
