Yellow | EZ pass not working!

What would that issue be? I frequently don't get a green light and I just keep going. Ol' Smokey hasn't nabbed me yet.

I get no lights or solid red in Pa. Was told by others that Ohio wont let you pass unless you have a paper from dispatch with yrc letterhead. I don't know what the paper has I haven't seen it.

If it does not work, and you are called into the scale, just follow orders and get scaled. Just another part of trucking, remember when if open you always had to get scaled? Boy, have we gotten spoiled.

Do your passes have a test button on them? Ours have them so it can be checked. "nuff said just my 2%

Your talking pre pass, The discussion is ez pass

I had this happen a couple of years ago. It worked in PA, but not in OH. I got a toll ticket when I got on in Ohio, when I went to get off the turnpike, I had a $20 out to pay the attendant. He would not take it! Wrote a ticket, added $10 more to the toll and told me to give this to the company.

When I got to Akron and told them what happened, they were livid!

Could be the unit's batteries are low. The transponders do have a certain lifetime.
Our EZ-Passes are mounted on the exterior visors. No way to test them. And I have NO IDEA what muffin top is referring to regarding red lights.
I've had no problem in Illinois.

The stop light is the red light. When you run through a booth you have a green go or a red stop. Either I was getting a stop or no lights at all.

All city trucks were equipped last year with the black transponders. All the blue ones were handed in last year as well. Apparently the letter from dispatch states that SOME of the transponders are not working properly, and there is a transponder number you give to the attendant.

Most were, some T/M's didn't read the email............................

I ran a 211 turn, 50990 & 11294 worked fine on the pikes.
But yes, there was a problem. They gave me a sheet of paper with a generic transponder code to use just in case. The 211 Drivers on bid to 135 also had the paper with them.

It had nothing to do with the money in the account. Transponders are going bad.
