Haven't seen it out there yet, as I've been bumped back there this year...lol You are correct, XAU is 30 miles west of Chicago.I thought instigator posted the local 179 van in front of aurora? close to chi town, correct?
That truck should be in all the yards. What has happened to the drivers? Do the drivers in the midwest know enough to stay away from the elastic bands in the calf area. If not they will not be passing any testes.I thought instigator posted the local 179 van in front of aurora? close to chi town, correct?
If they just put out another movie everything will be all right!Any members on this Forum?

I heard some chicagoland terminals were going to file a couple of months ago. I think this needs to be done more by region not just one here and there, would be a much bigger impactBig raises work magic!!!!!

Good point, highspeeds. Sometimes the 'wait and see' approach is the best way to go. I've got 22+ years in with the Teamsters...it hasn't been gravy by any means, but this ol' ship is about ready to dock. Just a few more years to go.We haven't even had one here and there. There is one. Miami. LA and Laredo have yet to be confirmed elections by the NLRB. There is one lone terminal with a yes vote and they don't have a contract. I think that is really what people are waiting to see. If they ever actually negotiate a contract and what ends up being in that contract.
People don't like risk without reward. I think guys want to know what exactly they would be fighting for when they vote yes.

You are right about people wanting to wait and see... But if everyone waits to see, there will be nothing to see.
The strength (and reward) comes from significant (strategic) numbers/locations. With few locations, there is little or no leverage. But if most would risk a little, and step up, then the reward would be nearly certain.
Conway was smart to significantly bump wages, that pacified a lot of people. Enough to make a difference. Are they actually satisfied? Only yall can say for sure.
