What do you out on your feet?

Quality footwear has been a never ending search for me. Finding the right combo of durability, comfort, weight, and water and slip resistance isn't easy.

I've been turning more to duty boots for police, fire and EMS. I've been thru several in the last couple of years. Currently wearing these, and I love them. That price is pretty amazing. I hope it stays that way for a while, but my guess is they are clearing them out for something else.

I've been buying boots at Cabela's because they have a 'lifetime warranty' on work boots, and their prices aren't out of line for a quality product. I say it like that because they consider the 'lifetime' of a work boot to be about a year. I've never had a work boot last a year in this business. Plus, I live about fifteen minutes away from one of their big stores.

I used to buy Red Wings, but they're too heavy.

I've been looking for a good pair of boots as well I bought some steel toe insulated boots right before winter made by the Georgia Boot Company I paid $200 something dollars for them and there okay, but even they are starting to wear out now the treads and plastic soles have worn down a ton since I bought them. I do like this link though and I think I am going to try what you try from Cabella's.

If you are ordering online, these boots seem to be wider than normal. I normally wear 11s, sometimes 11.5, and sometimes a 10.5 wide. A medium width 10.5 is always too small, but perfect for me in this boot. This is the upside of buying them at the store. The downside of buying them at the store is actually going to the store and spending a bunch of money on everything else they have.

When I get my tax refund, I think I'm gonna order a pair of the six inchers.

I am hooked on the Red Wing 2492's they have a cool lacing system, they are light and last a long time, I have my 3rd pair sitting in the closet brand new, I haven't worn out my 2nd pair yet, had to use the boot money Sysco gives me or lose it. Sorry I don't have a link, I'm to lazy to look one up..LOL!

Dang gt how much of a boot allowance do you get. We get 85 dollars every 12 months.

I bought a pair of boots before winter, still using them, they weren't cheap either +$200.00 the beer company didn't give us any boot or shoe program. They have been good, but the souls are worn thin, of course you walk 60 miles a week or what ever we do and the souls are going to get a little thin.

I can't remember, I think it was 150.00. Ya got to turn in a reciept, so if you buy a 30.00 pair thats what you get, mine cost upward of 200.00, and well worth the money. Take care of your feet.
