YRC can kiss those $11.90 an hour dock casuals goodbye...checkmate ABF!
We really have no representation. Did you ever hear the old saying, "Give them and inch and they'll take a mile"? Our blood in is the water and the company smells it. What will they do to us next?Company does what it wants, IBt obliges. Tell me again who represents us ?
I don't get the part about there being checkmate. If I see anyone being put into checkmate it's me and my brothers at ABF by our IBT leadership as they show us time and time again that we don't matter and our contract isn't worth ::::.

The company claimed that they needed the concessions in order to survive and the IBT supported them. AND IT WAS VOTED ON. I have since seen evidence that they took, and were given, more than was necessary and gave themselves lavish bonuses while we all sit here stuck with a bad contract. Now they give more money to a select group of people who did not even vote on the contract and will probably never even become permanent employees. WE DID NOT GET TO VOTE ON IT. I surmise that this was done to attract more workers at a lower rate so they could cut our work hours and this nets the company another $20/hr savings out of our pockets.I guess I have to ask, what has the Union or company done wrong in your eyes ? They raised the pay from $13 to $16 and your bitching both sides are you ?? I dont get it.....
Nope not a rumor changes have been happening for a while now. Starting with Roy Slagle's untimely departure there has been a steady wave of changes in management across the country. DC managers shifted to manage smaller terminals in other parts of the country, terminal managers being watched more closely, sales managers shifted around etc. Some of them had more than just a year or two in their positions too. What takes them so long to catch up with their dead wood? It wouldn't take long to find me if I hunkered down in the break room and didn't do my job. Where was their oversight? Whoever gave them those jobs should be scrutinized as well and whoever left the dogs run loose without supervision should be taken care of too...or maybe they were. I'd guess that it all started at the top and is slowly trickling down.Hey ABFer, I hear that the fort has shaken up the etch-a-sketch and shuffled around some people !!! Have you heard anything ? Just a rumor perhaps ?
I still am dumfounded we blame the Intl and ABF.. ABF Teamsters voted this crap and what follows in... A No win would have changed landscape and had upper hand.. they would not have sold to a company with as billion in debt nor just closed. mad at IBT yes, ABF yes, for treating us bad, but our! as a Brotherhoods fault..
