Sorry, I have not read enough to offer a credible opinion.
I am Western States, we are well funded.
Even so, I continue to invest with the intent that pension and Social Security will be 'supplemental' income.

As for Hoffa when he let UPS out of CSPF and tried the other day to let Kroger out its not hard to figure out his position‼️

Gotta agree with you on this part, Bart.

But, holding UPS's feet to the fire, because of a mismanaged fund was not going to fly.

If I recall, as a result of UPS withdrawal concession in negotiations, language was changed in the contract and more 'part time' workers were reclassified as 'full time.' And more are reaching that status as a result. It was a bad move at the time, but like many (moves), failed to realize the future of trucking specifically and the economy in general.

At the time of the buyout, CSPF was approximately 50% funded. As a result of the buyout, best estimates placed the fund at 70% funded. There was still a large deficit to overcome, but the actions of those that invested the CSPF funds and the lack of new members led to the present situation.

Are you waiting or wishing for someone or some Agency to give you wealth ?

As for UPS and the CSPF, paying 6 Billion Dollars isn't what I would call being let out. They paid their way out. Now if you're implying that should have never been allowed, ok, I see your point, That's way above my pay grade. I wasn't consulted.
What I would like to see happen now, is, find a solution so Our B/S don't have to panhandle after earning their Pensions. After watching the video KK posted, I was upset and wanted to comment, but tried 6 times and just couldn't put it together. It was very disturbing to see, knowing how hard we all work.

Not waiting or wishing for something we already earned and paid for!
I don't know the solution nor do I pretend to but continuing to do the same thing is not working! It is frustrating to see the fund continue to go downhill and the same people in place. UPS was allowed to exit the CSPF during contract negotiations in return for card check neutrality at UPS Freight Less money for the fund but more dues money for the Union
