Just wanted to show proof that some have successfully gone on to better things... No, I'm not leaving. Today "things" are looking too promising to leave unfinished.

Just wanted to show what what one former FedEx Frt driver is doing. Pretty cool ride. It's his, he built it, and he has a contracted, dedicated day run...

Oh, and his next/current project? A hot rod cab over

Riding kind of low. Those curbs could do some damage in those tight spots. Of course I'm very certain he's aware of that. Ratt about about how much money does he have in that? Does he have that big Cat in it? Very sweet.

Only when I posted the pix, did I realize that the obvious questions were gonna be what under that hood. I'll find out next time I see him. I know he was working on it for a couple years, while running a "regular truck" (or two?). I think he's got a guy running that other truck and this is his personal daily ride. I don't think anyone else drives this one.

I know that dude.

And I do have a few parts hanging around from a '76 COE if he's looking. Not a lot of stuff but I would expect anything for them to be hard to find.

My life after FedEx...

After hauling explosives, with my wife, for 1.5 years, I landed a gig hauling grocery doubles, 4 days a week. I spend about 45 hours a week in the truck, doing the same shuttle every day. At my age, I'd rather spend time at home, knowing what I have to do, not waiting for that call every day. There are jobs as good as, if not better than FedEx, you just have to look hard. My boss is 250 miles away and I only talk to him if something really bad happens. Life is good.
